BOB - is it cheating to use it?

Hi! I have just been called a variety of names for mentioning that I use BOB.

I did not realise that there was an idea in CC that doing so was in some way cheating! The suggestion was that this was doing my thinking for me.

I do not have a problem with someone taking that view, but it is the fiorst time I have heard it - are there fundamentalists who feel that it is unfair to make use of it?

Cheat = To deceive by trickery.

BOB is a tool that saves your time. Hence it is not a cheat because it doesn't give you anything you could not get yourself.

For the avoidance of doubt, I don't use multiple hacks and addons - I have enought trouble loading BOB to get bogged down with anything else!

If however there is an add on which tells you what to do...

No, it's not cheating to use BOB. I've never considered it necessary myself, but I have no problem with people using it.

Clickable maps however, they place their users in a clear advantage in freestyle games. Them I find somewhat morally questionable, but still not cheating per se.

It is not cheating--you can sit there and add numbers, look at bonuses, and whatever else BOB offers with your own two eyes but it is quicker to use BOB (it is a tool).

the way i see it, i pay to play unlimited games on this site, i would rather be able to take full advantage of being a premium user and play more games because an add-on (available to everyone) is able to give me the facts of the games quicker than counting the regions and troops and bonuses each player has.. thus i am able to play more games comfortably

Nothing against you Dako you are clearly one of the better players on the site however it is really hard to win those games with-out cickable maps unless something goes your way

If its on a big map like World 2.1 something has to go your way as it is a huge advantage to have clickies 2 attacks per second or one every few seconds is a big difference.

Also you have every right to brag about winning as you beat one of the best in the game
