Do spoils repeat?

Postby Furkin! on Sat May 15, 2010 12:52 am

Hi Guys.

After the spoils representing the territories are all handed out, do the ones that have already been cashed in get redistibuted to people who continue to take territories, or do they get exhausted forever? In other words, does the virtual deck of cards get reshuffled after all cards have been drawn?

Thanks!

You can draw any territory at any time in any color as long as no one else currently has that territory card in their "hand". So one territory could be drawn 10 rimes in a game, while another is drawn 0.

As soon as the spoil is played, it is placed and shuffled back into the 'deck', and can be drawn again immediately. If you play spoil a, b, and c, then take a territory and end your turn, you have the chance of drawing those cards again.

Wow! I did not know that. That is very good information considering that I am playing 2 nuclear games.

to enhance the reply,
not only do all cards get shuffled right back into the stack once played, the mapsize and amount of players is also a factor. on the smallest of maps with 8 players, you will have MULTIPLE decks with the same cards, so it is possible to hold 3 of the same cards. this has in fact happened. its not likely, but it is possible.
