Drop games and foe people--Cheap Tactic???

Postby neanderpaul14 on Sun May 24, 2009 4:20 pm

Just curious. How many out there believe it is a sign of a cheap player when someone constantly drops games and places someone on their foe list because they fear losing points??

If anyone actually did that, I would think it might be considered "cheap". Seeing as I don't think anyone would be lame enough to actually try such a failure of a tactic, I don't think it matters. It seems like something that might have been successful back when you could just wait until your games filled with new recruits, but these days I doubt anyone could maintain a rank higher than captain doing it.

Absolutely and without question.

At least one individual is actively (and I do mean ACTIVELY) still doing this.

Surely, no one would think such and unskilled, and unintelligent tactic was a good idea.

It is happening.... and I quote... " I tend to foe people as and when I beat them in speed games so as to gain unique defeats, but since you're clearly such a little prick, I made an exception for you. " <-- Never even played a game with this guy other than a seq quads in which I won. LOL

I know of three players who have done exactly that, I won't mention names because that would just give Night Lock an excuse to lock this thread. Worse still, two of them are in competitive clans, which is a total failure of courage as well as tactics in my book. If they were formerly members of The Farmers Guild then it might be expected, but these players are just saaaaaaaad!

Depends on what the player is doing.

If a player is medal hunting and they need 400 different unique players to beat for a terminator or an assassin GOLD medal and the same players keep joining all there games and they already beat them for 1 unique opponent, it makes it that much more challenging to do. I dont mind anyone joining any of my games and they can join all they want, but currently I need ass and term gold, once I play them and win, if I see them constantly keep joining them when I need different players, well, sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

Anybody with any skill, pretty much.

I mean, if someone has joined 100 of your games and you just want a chance to play some other people .. . that's one thing, but to play this game of "I won't play HIM because I might lose points.." Well.. are you here to play or just to have some nice icon next to your name?

If you truly think this, you are a bit naive.

That said, those who do are pretty much people I'd prefer not to play anyhow.

Apparently it was an issue for a while in Freestyle, because there were a couple of people who had quite a few people on their lists. Those individuals would join all the open games and effectively shut out whole groups of other players from many games. I believe it resolved itself eventually, though.

I play FS and cannot remember this ever being a problem. I thinkt that is a myth. Only people who used to foe others were farmers who started games looking for medals.

I'm referring to people who put up piles of games, mostly one map and large numbers of players, and then if someone joins 3 or 4 of these said player will check out the person who just joined, and fearing for his points will drop these games and foe the person without ever having played them.

It's gay-- and more and more players are doing it. Although KarelP , JustB used to, they're coming around (Kudos!) but guys like Demonfork and countless others are a bunch of pansies, ignore you after you slaughter them time and time again. Just laugh at them and know they are inferior.

And drop games that they joined before they fill. Don't forget that part of this foolish, unskilled, and unintelligent tactic.

I remember when I first started playing games and got more experience, and joined my first team game and anchored the win. Average rank on my team was sergeant. The other team's average rank was colonel's. I got foed after winning that game from 2 of the players. From ONE game?!! ha ha ha! I get foed regularly when I see a sign of disrespect, ignorance, and rude players, and it's the higher ranked players who foe me. Funny how hypocritical they are - shooting their mouth's off and don't have the backbone to take it back. And the other times I get foed is probably because I get confused for my multi ;) owenshooter! ha ha ha!
