I agree with you, which is why I will not be playing again. Seems to be dishing out all the crap maps to help even the stats out.

That wasn't passing judgment on you, per se. I was just expressing my affection for a map that I have found to be generally disliked by the CC community.

I got Madness. Another map that is just pointless to me. Don't like it, never did. I might try the random button again, but I hope it's a decent map.

madness is actually VERY cool. i never liked it, and then i got in a trips tournament that has the map as part of the foundation for a trick or treat candy theme... now, it is actually very cool and has some nice game features that you may not realize if you just browse the map... plus, it is cool to attack andy from wicked or go through the back path to sis's access... ahem...-0

i got canada and city mogul. has the random button disappeared for everyone else as well?

i actually quite liked the random button because it favors players that can play a wide variety of maps, and arent specialized on a small selection.

i think i've played like 2 games on random, i got:

ww2 europe
usa

they're both good maps.

There was an issue so the feature was temporarily shut down.

It's meant to be fixed so the option should be back. (and so it is for me at least)

You heard it here first! I will not be using it any more. I found it giving out too many maps I did not care to play nor many others. Have a good day!

C'mon bruce
the fact that there are more than 130 maps for play and nobody usually plays more than 10 regularly, obviously means that when you make it random, you will mostly get a map that you would usually not play.
Besides, I got a USA game from a random game.
that's a very normal map, and I like it's normalness

I watched about 15 speed games come up the day it came out. 11 of the 15 maps were in the bottom 3rd of maps played (by game count) According to the work CW did showing the map movement some time back.

I think there is a draft system going on. The least popular maps get to be in the top pick of the random selections.
