I prefer my dice to be fair, not "fixed". ;) Seriously, though, there have been many threads in the fora regarding the dice, and the usual answer from the sitelords is that there is nothing wrong with the dice. Being pseudo-random, they may run hot or cold, but they seem to average out in the long run.

Maybe OVERALL they come out even.
But it is obvious that some payers get great dice.
Others (like me) can't get the dice to come out in their favor for anything.
OVERALL it comes out even.
But thats not the point.
It should be even and FAIR for EACH player.

I like this game.
But I can't stand the dice.
In the last moth I have lost over 1000 points
all because of the dice.

They "load" the dice.
If talks about it in the instructions.
Get rid of that crap!!!
Just make the dice truly random!

Have you tried using the Dice Analyzer to compare your intensity cube levels to that of the normal random distribution?

It is a user created script that you can run inside your browser to track your intensity cube rolls over time, to compare them with the normal random distribution.

Anyway I constantly see this complaint.... thing is for everyone who has bad dice some one else had good dice... so I don't know... Personally the last few games I played had some really horrible rolls and some really good rolls. The last 2 games I won I had great rolls while my opponent had horrible ones... also had a streak of horrible rolls just before. All in all though it seems to even out. We just remember the horrible ones more I think.

Indeed, I think this is the key---especially because while taking our turn, we are more prone to remember our bad rolls than our good. Imagine all your opponents' turns when they are having bad rolls, and you are having good defensive rolls---and you aren't around to notice those!

What's wrong with the dice?

If you gently nurture and nudge them along they will do fine,
be careful to provide plenty of water in this summer heat.

I propose we fix the dice by removing all chance and probability involved. How about if every die rolled is a 3? That way you don't have to worry about chance ruining your rolls!

Let this be the last word on dice. Everyone who plays more than 40 or 50 games, ends up getting the same dice. People who complain that they get bad dice all the time are full of shit. We all get the same dice. Some people are just too arrogant to see it. Why do I say arrogant? Because they think that they should have done better, or that they're current accomplishments are despite bad dice, and that they are much better than their record shows.

This is total bullshit. Anyone with a dice analyzer, or an understanding of probability, or even an understanding of human nature can understand people think they get worse dice than others. They are lying to themselves.

p.s. If you want a game with no luck, you can play chess. In which case can spend the rest of your life studying the game, and never win 1 game against a grand master. Why we like a little probability in our game, makes us feel we are a little bit better than we really are. : )

It would also mean not a single territory would be taken.

Dices are ok for me, sometimes i roll bad dice, but sometimes great.

Anyhow, strategy is the key.
good dice+ bad strategy = might not win

+1

Also, to driverclit, when you attack neutrals in a 1v1 game, and then get stomped by your opponent, it is not the fault of the dice. The blame rests squarely on your shoulders.

Amen. Also, attacking when you are not rolling 3 dice is pretty stupid too. Don't know if the guy mentioned above does it, but I see noobs do it all the time and then wonder why the are loosing.

Yeah I recently played a game against a SFC/Lieut (he upped rank during game), it was no cards, and he made sure every round he took at least one territory off me. He was attacking 2v2, 2v1, 1v1 quite a bit, and I'd say he unnecessarily lost about 15-20 armies, which lost him the game. He had a better drop, and went first, outdeploying in every round for the first 10 rounds.

I'll only attack 2v1 on rare occasions, for instance if 1 more territory off the opponent will reduce their army bonus next go AND that territory will not border my opponents territories, so he can't take it straight back. In cards games I sometimes go 2v1 as well. 2v2 is crazy, and is a last resort when the game is all but a loss anyway, and only any good to break a continent/get a card in esc, but by that stage it's usually absolute desperation. 1v2 is pointless in every situation.

LOL @ "intensity cubes."

I was never under the impression the dice were broken, they all even out eventually. ;)

Oh, wait, not the response you were looking for?

Well then, "THESE DICE ARE BLASPHEMY(sp?) AND NEED TO BE FIXED. I AM TIRED OF LOSING AND IT IS ALL THE FAULT OF THE DICE"

There. That help? ;)

Nothing wrong with the dice. Yes they let us down but sometimes they also accomplish the improbable. Rules of thumb: don't rely on the dice all the time to win games. Think in the long term. Calculate your moves and decisions with the worst case scenario in mind.

yeah i will admit to all of the admin staff, the dice kill the overall experience of conquerclub, no way in hell would you lose some of the rolls we do, simultaneously in real life, and whats it with 3 vs 3, its almost impossible to win... i mean wtf!!

Run the numbers buddy, 3v3 is less than 50%, don't roll 3v3, its a stupid decision. You only have 2 attacking armies trying to kill 3. Plus the odds are less than 50% for you to kill 2 of them. It's the same way in real life. Break out some dice and a piece of paper and try it 50 or 60 times, you'll see that you don't win very often.
