Avoid getting a card (Answered)

Postby maximumbandit on Sat Jul 25, 2009 1:40 am

I am wondering if this is cheating:

In a game with escalating cards, is it illegal to avoid taking a card by simply not hitting, "end reinforcement?" and letting the 60 minutes run out on the turn clock?

In escalating games, so as to avoid being the first person to cash in - it is common for players to deploy without attacking on a turn to avoid taking a card. That's all well and fine, but I'm wondering it it counts as cheating to deploy AND attack, and still avoid taking a card?

Thanks.

Simply put no.
There is no rule that says you have to take a card that you have earned nor one that says you have to end your turn.
However I might find anyone doing this annoying and rate accordingly. ;)

This can be a very good strategy, especially if you went after an elimination and came up short. Taking a card may mean that the next player could run the table. Not taking a card can mean having another shot or putting yourself in a position that you may not be taken out.

it is heavily frowned upon to say the least. if there are other disgruntled players in the game in question, the best way to combat it is to all agree to do exactly the same ensuring that the card skipper will not gain from it.
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

on a sequential game its heavily frowned on without a doubt... its slightly more expected in a freestyle game, where most know almost anything goes
