In my eyes, you're just digging yourself deeper with that unprovoked defense. No one followed my attack, but you're still defending, trying to solve the situation. One more minus in my book, you can say you were joking and all but defending like this with only me on your head is... another question mark to me.

You didn't played last 10 games here so you obviously don't know how things work... you have full right to be serious, but you should know some patterns which regularly happen, and some of those are voting for not playing character or person... I remember my first game where I got insta-lynched for voting for Arnold Schwarzenegger (or someone like him).... these things make you smarter :-D

Also, I've gone through the chat a few times... A few things I've noted as interesting. One question though dakky, I fully understand your reasoning, but do you not think that Tim could be right about Aladdin? It doesn't seem far-fetched to me.

You could be right and Tim could be right BUT that still isn't important. Important is joke voting for NPC's or not playing characters, which mean you'd vote anyone.
Questioning this also leads to suspicion so you're on my list as well.

Joke vote stage didn't last long... Straight down to business hey guys..

I don't find dakky scummy at this stage don't think he would draw so much attention to himself straight up if he was a bad guy..

Not really much else to comment on yet

Dakky has caught mafia D1 recently because they voted for a non player. This is sticking to his meta.

I think that Tim's argument is a little more substantial than just voting a non player.

Dakky did not choose the limelight, he saw an easy target and took it. Throwing suspicion on BuJaber makes little sense.

vote Sausage, for giving strike two votes and thus preventing me from joke voting him after fosing him pregame.

I built up such a grand accusation to throw against him during these days and now :( ...and now I have to take a cold shower.

Somebody should unvote me so that I can hear this grand accusation.

Alas, the moment has passed us by and we have moved on, out of the joke vote stage. But, once my paranoia strikes and I start raving like a mad man and baying for their blood in quite an unreasonable fashion, I will throw a misty-eyed look over my shoulder - towards you and the rant that could have been.

It's a bit too early for bandwagoning, since short days are bad for town, but at this point dakky seems like the scummiest one to me as well. I would like to point out how defensive he gets in his very first post (bolded part) which, looks like he expects to be attacked, and that mindset sounds more scum then town to me. Unvote FOS dakky

Well, welcome then. I hope you'll enjoy your first game here. Do you like being scum or town the most?

And yes, Wing tried with latin in order to compensate :P

Apparently, people have called the fun police. I wanted to vote for the mod for not spelling my name right, but that will probably not fly if we're out of the joke voting business.

At first, I didn't take dakky seriously. But when he said that he was serious and explained himself, I could see where he was coming from. I don't think that it necessarily incriminates Tim, but I am keeping an eye on AoG. It rubbed me the wrong way how he got very wide eyed from dakky's move.

unvote

FP'ed by manda. Manda, did you read that dakky got lynched D1 for doing what Tim is doing? I.e. his statement that he'll probably get lynched D1 stems from past experience. I never read it as a defence.

vote RAGIAN From an innocent statement from WCG which was in the joke phase of the game you protested way to much and when you threw the accusation back at WCG and it didn't rattle him you completely changed the subject.

I did read the comment about dakky being lynched in another game for voting someone who isn't in the game, but that was posted well after dakky's first post, which I quoted.

I didn't think that he was defending himself but that he was being defensive. It sounded to me like those people (in RL) who put themselves down in hope of discouraging other people from attacking them.

Maybe it is just a case of a player being self conscious after getting lynched D1 in the previous game (which tells us nothing) OR it is a player who starts the game by preemptively deflecting heat, which means that he is expecting heat to come his way.

The question is: who is more likely to feel like the rest of the players (majority of whom are townies) are just waiting for a reason to go after him: townie or scum? To me it sounds more like a player of the scummy disposition. Hence - FOS.

I was defensive in last 10 of 10 games, but since this is the first game with you on board, it may seem scummy. Well, you'll get used to it. Anyway, I expect the opposite of heat coming my way, but we will talk about it later and that's why I said I'm a bit confused.

so someone voting because of a joke vote isn't scummy, but someone voting the voter of a joke vote is?

interesting.

Short answer: No! :P

Long answer: I am completely confused by the mysterious connection between: Madmitch's quote; dakky's denfensivness (as percieved by me); my FOSing it for it with my third post; my pounding on the first thing I see (as pecieved by you) and my qualification as scum being equal to, I am guessing dakky's (but possibly also/or madmitch's :?: ). So my answer is...no...to that? :-s

Fair enough. As you say I haven't played with you before, so I can't metagame your usual playing style. Since we are on the page 2 od Day 1, unless someone does something really spectacular, I can only be suspicious of the little things like that, and it's IMO it's better to beat the bushes and maybe make someone jump then to do nothing and waste the Day. I would have voted you for it, but since it IS a thin lead, and you do have some votes on you already, I settled on the FOS as the middle road.
