I don't think ace is as bad as people make him out to be. Granted, I haven't seen a whole lot of him, but he usually just gets attacked.

First he wants ace to claim at -4, then when it is decided that ace is probably telling the truth, he backs off.

Just like a newer player mafia would play it out. Not trying to stand out from the crowd.

:-s Where did you get that idea from? I tried to say hi on msn, but my msn is playing up major... can't get any messages through on it for some reason.

Unvote in light of the claim.

I don't pay too much attention to newer Mafia players and their behaviors these days... I really should. :D Though I do get what you are saying about daydream... Not sure if it's enough for a lynch, but it's at least enough to build pressure. Vote daydream

Unvote. Obviously if there's no counterclaim to Toph, then we got a confirmed townie. Not a doubt in my mind.

And I agree the call for a claim was early, but how else could that have ended? People grumbling about the ace bandwagon are doing the same thing to the (consequently new) Daydream. If you have a problem with one, shouldn't you have a problem with the other?

thats probably because i am new to your group of players ;)
and why would i not back off? that would be a lot stupider, since the claim is solid. but dont worry, i am not afraid of standing out. just making a point here that your argument makes no sense.

dd, makes a good point. That argument doesn't have any weight. Who wouldn't back off, and as F1fth said it was going to happen anyway. I was actually thinking he'd get hammared before he even got to claim. So I really don't see anything wrong with it. Especially if he didn't know it was lynch -4.

That's why I reserve my vote for matters of importance. Like kwan.

Really, though, he ought to be paying attention to what's going on in the game. When the vote count says 6 and on the same page you ask for a claim, that's being a bit too lenient. I'll lay off this time because it's Day 1 and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, but don't expect any more of the same later on.

Was your random vote really getting that old or did you just want to submarine and get your name off the voting list and not arouse suspicion to yourself?? Also, not getting involved in any of the bandwagons/votes making vague neutral comments not really contributing to the dynamic and repeating stuff mentioned by others such as the one bolded.

Congratulations mate, you just made number one on the Nagerous FOS list.

unvote ace

It's pretty much common sense that if someone has a solid claim and everyone believes them to be town then you should get off them. Which is why I'm wondering about Jnd, seems a bit of a silly comment to come from him, so makes me wonder if he was attempting to get an easy target bandwagoned.

And considering how quick bandwagons have been going lately (where people have even lynched before hearing a claim) I see nothing wrong with getting the claim at L-4.

Now would be the time for looking at who may stand out and work out who scum could be, yet I cannot help noticing flores is bandwagoning yet again. Why is that?

It's still day 1 on page 8, joke voting is still common. Especially depending on who. For example, you could see me joke vote on day 5, and it wouldn't be anything surprising.

I do have reasons, thank you for asking.
and no william it wasn't a joke vote.

Reasons are thus (and to be fair its more of that feeling you get on the scumdar): Skoffin was in the middle of the pack on the early wagon on ace (who judging by what i'm reading in this game is fairly new to this game, at least here), I alwas become suspicious of people in the middle b/c its the best place to hide your vote if you're scum. Add to that her reaction when someone (i forget who, w/ a 4moth old baby you forget much) called her a submariner an pretty big over-reaction for something that unless her playing style changed drastically in the last 4 months is probably true. the combination of the 2 set off some alarms and since its day 1 w/ no real leads i think its as solid a foundation as we've yet seen.

oh and ga7 love the new avy Hellsing is an alltime favorite of mine which i watch w/ subtitles instead of dub btw

Ha! Normally I would agree with the middle of a lynch voters, but you are far off the mark on this one. (And I wouldn't exactly call the 3rd vote in the middle anyway)

And that person was Ace himself, he voted me within 14 hours of the game starting for 'lurking'. Now, it's hard to see sarcasm through the net so I guess you didn't see it that way, but I returned a silly vote for him for voting me for such a nonsensical reason. And by the time he voted me a bandwagon had already started on myself. Then he unvotes, and a short time later bandwagons on me again for a silly reason. Apparently I'm not the only person who saw his actions as suspiscious.

To all of you who follow this school of though, here's an interesting line from the rules section:

Sierra Leon wrote:Scum are given safe-claims.

You can not decide that someone is innocent based on his claim and/or lack of counter-claim if scum were given safe claims, you bunch of ninnies!

My vote stays on Ace since: a) I think that he's scum and if he is it will lead to proving Flores' scumminess, b) his subsequent submarrining didn't give me much reason to change my mind.

That is true. However, I think that this Toph character is important enough that it wouldn't be a just a safe claim. It seems like an important role.

Agreed with jnd. Toph is one of the main characters in the series, and unless SL was a bastard with the setup, I'd think Toph is a bit too important of a character to be a good fakeclaim. :/
