Rarely in the annals of the CC forum
Has someone been so nonchalant
about facing a lynching quorum.

It's almost as if you desire to taunt
The critics who have voted for you
And who, once lynched, you shall haunt.

I believe I understand what you do,
But we have farther to go on the road.
If you're town, we'll need you on day two.

What does your stubbornness bode?
There's enough doubt in my mind, though
That I'll not vote yet for dear autoload.

What auto's style is, I do not know.
He seems bent on hanging like his avvy Tuco.

I peaked on the 'Bad Poets' thread
As sun was rising without much of bang
I saw new evidence presented,
It looks like someone is going to hang.

First it looked like Wicked is going
To be lynched for skimming and snoozing
Nark suggested lynching yours truly,
Because of supposed slum I was oozing.

Bring me a scum and hand me the rope
Find me a high, but solid tree
A judge with a grudge and just enough votes,
And we can have a lynching spree.

Before we had any clue at all
About who is a Poet and who is not,
Each of us posted at least one song,
Selin, among the last, filled his spot.

He took haiku, because nobody else,
Seemed to be using that particular style,
He thought he was smart, but Fircoal caught him
Using Aimless' quote from before a while.

Bring me a scum and hand me the rope
Find me a high, but solid tree
A judge with a grudge and just enough votes,
And we can have a lynching spree.

Auto found himself in a predicament
When he was asked to define his verse,
You see his writing is completely original
But his creativity has become a curse.

To unvote I decided when Auto has started
To imply that mod has his claiming forbidden,
But I'm voting Selin as Fircoal has proved him
To be a Critic in our midst hidden.

Bring me a scum and hand me the rope
Find me a high, but solid tree
A judge with a grudge and just enough votes,
And we can have a lynching spree.

Yes, bring me a scum and hand me the rope,
Allow me to alter my chorus' text,
Because after the Selin from a thick branch is hung
I belive, Auto, that you will be next.
Mishuk gotal'u meshuroke, pako kyore.

My technique that was just used
Timeless like the Waltz
Cast out my bait, sit and wait, no need to annotate
Look closely at one of wicked, kwanton, Anarkistsdream, Talapus, pancakemix, and jnd
In order of the softest voice, loudest might be free...
Free info I give you at last, my verse also be free

Mod said he might not use haiku,
But then again, I'm not so sure.
To his post has Aimless stayed true?

The lines in a haiku are few
Does Selin lie, that wretched cur?
Mod said he might not use haiku.

A noose in his path he may view
If, perhaps his heart is impure.
To his post has Aimless stayed true?

A Day 1 lynch will give us clues
But this lynch could be premature
Mod said he might not use haiku

Unvote for now, in red, not blue.
Let's not act rash and immature.
To his post has Aimless stayed true?

I once met a Frenchman wearing shoes
The Frenchman asked "Tu aimes les fleurs?"
Mod said he might not use haiku.
To his post has Aimless stayed true?

So close and yet so far away -
A narrow escape it was -
And so we must prolong the day.

Vote Count!
  • wicked (1) - Selin
  • mandalorian (1) - Incandenza
  • autoload (3) - kwanton, Anarkistsdream, Talapus
  • Selin (3) - wicked, mandalorian, jnd

*sigh*

Here we go another round
Waiting to see who's real and who's fake
The stories- they seem to abound
A thirst for death we seek to slake

And as it is, we seem to find
One who isn't quite right
For that I unvote in kind
And put Selin in the spotlight

Oh my dear, you're a poet true
You've done your best to fool us
Speaking another language too!
Without so much a peep or fuss

Sorry Selin but you're on the noose
And I don't see it quickly coming loose.

Ah! "This is good, yes?" I must say
It's my opinion that you sway
Unvote just for the time being
Til Selin arrives decreeing
His defense to votes on today

Careful! With critics do we lay
But to a lynch now I say "Nay"
For Selin must do his pleaing
Ah! This is good...

Is it our trust he does betray?
This is our choice in our cafe.
I commend firecoal for seeing
We had not. No disagreeing.
Where is selin? Me: can he sway?
Ah! This is good.....

I can't believe that!
many experienced players...
all bandwagonning!

it was so easy
for auto to name a verse
but he didn't do!

like me in sherewood
he might have a restriction,
or part of his role.

it's just a feeling,
but a strong one not to vote...
in hot summer nights.

HAIKU TO THE POETS IN THE COFFEE SHOP

Believe me or not,
poets in the coffee shop
I swear all of you

I will write haikus,
until critics have been banned
from the coffee shop.

Aimless wrote:Re: Everyone asking about my future game.

Without going into too much detail too early (I'll give more out once I'm actually ready to start the game, which at the rate Sherwood is going probably won't be until August), it will basically be like this :

The game will be split up amongst poets (townies) and critics (mafia). Each poet will have a specific verse style (for instance, Haiku, although that is probably one I won't use, hence I feel safe naming it here) that they will be required to utilize for all of their posts.

The critics will have no such post restrictions (although, if they don't want to be found out immediately, they'd better fake one).

As for knowing how to spell - I don't mind the occasional misspelling (it is called poetic license, after all), but given the nature of the game I don't want to see you mangling the English language - unless your character happens to be e e cummings.

 HAIKU TO AIMLESS

What the hell :) is that?
