I know sweet f*ck all about Mass Effect. I've just been looking at what people have posted / done and their motives for why. You can usually tell quite a lot about joke votes and how people react to them. I particularly like to look out for white-knighting and sheep.

I posted a general overview before the game started. Benezia, Saren, Sovereign and at least one geth of some kind are the likely mafia. Cerberus is a likely third party group or maybe just Sk. The Thorian is a possible cult recruiter.

As I would right now, I'd be leaning towards Benga for the vote as he's the only one I feel did anything noteworthy to me besides Thorthoth who I feel has sounded slightly more town more than any scum tell perceived in his earlier comment but ultimately my reasoning is weak even for day one and comes down to him voting a new player and not explaining ehy he doesnt feel the "slip" was "accidental".

Easy enough to explain. DDS is so obsessed by Day 1 No Lynch and failed to get it to happen as a player, that he had no choice to but mod this game and impose such a strict deadline so as to force that exact scenario. I would bet money that is the only reason for this game. He probably doesn't even like Mass Effect.

I've only played Mass Effect 2 so I'm afraid I won't be that much help in trying to guess the set-up in terms of characters. Saren and Sovereign surely for scum. I would be amazed if there wasn't a 3rd party of some kind either due to how many characters there are.

Too lazy to Google it a bit?

From Mass Effect wiki on wikia...
The Thorian, also called Species 37, is an ancient sentient plant at least fifty thousand years old - its ability to hibernate for thousands of years makes its real age impossible to guess. The Thorian is a unique creature with mind-controlling and telepathic abilities, and a massive sensory network. It releases spores into the air that allow the Thorian to control those who inhale them, using pain to control their behaviour. These 'thralls' then tend to the Thorian and obey its will.

Thor, don't worry about flavor speculation, it's pointless. The backstory of the game has little to do with actual party. It might affect mechanics set up by the mod, but in the end it comes down to scum tells and cases.

TA1L... your typo couldn't have been just a typo... play vs party is something worth writing down I believe. You meant party and you written it... or at least my feeling.

Huh i just realized that we gotta eliminate all third-party, not just hostile third-party. Unless all third-party is hostile already. Definitely makes pika's and masket's statements a bit suspect. The thorian definitely sounds sounds like a cult if included.

If you guys are getting this information from your win conditions then the reason I don't know about it is that, looking back at it now, my role PM doesn't actually include a win condition... So I assume part of my role PM is missing, DirtyDishSoap?

I can confirm that DDS forgot to give us all win conditions... I had to PM him yesterday for mine once this whole discussion of third party or not started... I was guessing Pik was missing his win condition too but wanted him to say it first rather than giving him an out if that wasn't his situation. So my guess is Pik is actually town.

Does DDS really need to give us more info? ... or is that another type of deception?

I actually don't think I got a win condition either, but I can't be bothered to check 'cause I'm going to bed.

As for third parties, there are some in off-vanilla mafia setups that can joint with mafia or town, or just win via their own conditions. I guess it would help to know the characters / plot of Mass Effect to determine what the third party - or parties - could be.

I'm a cunt that gets frustrated by the amount of people who can't spell a simple four letter word. What's the point of questioning it?
