Wait a minute, why the hell is everywheres character a priest? It just doesn't seem to make any sense, who is to say he isn't a mafia priest?

There are a lot of main characters so far who have been VTs yet some random girl has a power? What did she even do in the films? I am not buying this one.

unvote vote everywhere

I thought his claim actually makes sense. "She's" the "program" child of two other "programs." Innocent, so to say, of the dealings with anything going on in the Matrix. It's a bit of a stretch, and hider would have made more sense (to me.), but I can buy that Sati would be a "priest" who is unable to hammer anyone, being that "she" is a newly created program without much ability to control anything.

I'm not a huge fan of others trying to get people out of my cases unquestioned but it's not a scummy move, although I'd appreciate you giving me some space to do my questioning without being interrupted and stalled. I know my methods aren't the best, but they provide results when given the chance.

I'd be happy to provide that space. The question you asked IB about control freaks was just a misread, or so I presumed. It seems strange to respond to an accusation by defending against an argument that wasn't even given. Much like S7C's typo-case, actually.
I don't mind anyone questioning people... just so long as the questions are sensible and useful, and have not yet been answered already. I also hope that you realise that you're not the only player in this game; in that respect, IB might have a point about the control-freak thing. Don't let me stop you, just let me play along ;)

Fair enough. Though I'm not trying to sound defensive, actually I'm trying to be the aggressive one. We have too many defensives in the game for me to want to be one. I hope my post wasn't taken off to be rude or anything because I don't care what happens around the case. But try to not supply him with answers and excuses. That's when townies start helping scum without meaning to. (Not saying IB is scum 100% but I'm not going to risk him being scum and being helped out soo easily when he's dug himself a perfect little hole to get at him a bit).

when anyone other than trinity and neo play like that, they get a BW on them... id say that you are playing the same way you are accusing me of playing, and then saying that only i should be pressured.

That's where you're wrong Vodean. We are nothing alike. I'll pressure people and work on cases, but I will not call pretty much half the players scum and then try to cover it up when you get called on it. So no, we are nothing alike Vodean.

Also, yea, Doom and I butt heads more often than not. We don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, making us masons is like putting a cat and dog together o.e...

I think a priest is possible.. I mean it's Saf we're dealing with here ;) XD. But I will not pressure him past a claim for now. Especially a claim that seems to be proven.

people can we stop fighting over stupid things...

ok right now i really want to hear from saf. his last votecount was full of mistakes and i m not even sure he followed what was going on. it seems quite unlikely, but maybe he missed that everywhere's would ve been a hammer vote.

Also, i'm not familiar with the priest role and all the variants possible. or eventual variants of this role that could be evil.
what's the use of this role anyway? that when it seems like someone will get lynched and he voted for that person, everyone gets the surprise to see he is still alive?

secondly, i don't know, i think we did enough for today and i am in favour of lynching clever because his attitude is somewhat fishy. I think there are slightly more chances that he is town, but he is definitely the scummiest vt. and a vt claim is the easiest thing a mafia can hide behind. i need to see a correct votecount, i think he is really close from a lynch. (i think no one is following my sg7 lead anymore so will just try again tomorrow if i m still here)

and again, i agree with chuck about ghostly and leehar, both are just completely absent.

its cause the sg7 case holds no water you cant push a case at someone and expect it to grow...at least not into a good one. i think me and vodean are done arguing. but your right what is the use of a priest role. i have never seen it and the only time i have was in RT game and new guy made it up and it was completly different.

and one more thing. i dont think im fishy but you know im biased. can you point out what part of my cases you thing are the scummiest. i believe my defense was a decent one. so if you want to lynch me can you give me some reasons. and try to be a little more active. we know we need as many brains as we can get.

Sati is one of the main characters in the movie. Little screen time, lots of importance and symbolism. She symbolizes the truce between the machines and the people of Zion. Priest is just the name of a role that cannot hammer a vote. It is never scum. Saf saw what happened, he didn't miss the votes. Give the guy a little credit.

according to mafiascum "there's no real reason a Priest necessarily has to be Town." So, while I am inclined to believe that everywhere is town I don't think you can say a priest is never scum.

Regarding the vote count, I just want clarification from saf because the latest vote count still had both hippo and I voting SG7 when we had both voted everywhere. If those votes weren't counted than everywhere was never at L-1 and never self hammered to prove his priest claim.

There has never been a scum who cannot hammer in a game I have played a far as I know. The issue is it gives them a proven "town" role with no night action. It can be used as a modifier to a powerful scum role, but again, I have never seen it. Props for looking it up though, most the people who were unfamiliar didn't feel like it.

As far your argument over leftover votes, I guess I see where you are coming from. However, that would be a insanely ballsy move to assume the mod would just miss the proper votes, but hell, that HAS happened before. I guess I wouldn't worry about it to much, saf will confirm with time.

thanks for your frequent and significant contributions to this game.

On another note, we now have as many pages as Battle of the Bulge.

Betiko: your post kind of makes me want to agree, and kind of makes me want to pressure you... i dont know, its like you are trying tooo hard to look town.

jak: i think as many people are unhappy with your play style as mine.

IB: also, he clearly did make a mistake. how many is the question.

edoc: just because it hasnt happened doesnt mean that it wont

Vote Count

clever(6)- leehar, vodean, ghostly, IB, jonty, neb
vodean(2)- mob, chuck
shield(2)- betiko, hippo
everywhere(8)- sound, edoc, shield, dj, hippo, jonty, aage, pmc
aage(1)- doom
IB(1)- jak

With 20 alive, it takes 11 to lynch.

Apologies for the vote count mistakes, but I did see everywhere's vote. Will not say more for fear of unduly influencing the game.

Will prod Leehar and ghostly.

Seconded.

There is no point in lynching a proven priest role now; as Edoc already mentioned, statistically he's a 90% towny while the rest of us are about 70-65% towny (taking all the claims into account). He has proven the priest role, and I don't see why you would not believe him and do believe all the VT claims.

"The machines" is just the sentinels sitting at the surface of the planet. Sati is not a machine, however; she is a program. A code. Just like Seraph, or the Oracle. Watch the third (or second?) movie again, Neo will ask exactly your question: "I suppose the most obvious question is, how can I trust you?" Obviously the Oracle answers with the most ambiguous quote of the movie...
Bingo. It is a pickle. No doubt about it. The bad news is there's no way if you can really know whether I'm here to help you or not, so it's really up to you. You just have to make up you on damned mind to either accept what I'm going to tell you, or reject it.

Also, programs aren't necessarily agents. Otherwise The Oracle would've changed into an agent when Neo first came walking in there and shot him at the spot.

Lastly, if there is a third party survivor, it is probably the Merovingian. Edoc'sil might remember why.

OK I will take your word for it, even if I am much more confused about the films than before. Beyond the first they weren't really interesting enough to watch again, which is probably why I have forgot all this. unvote

You asked me why I believe the VT claims, it is mainly because I don't think they were scum but I did with everywhere. As you can tell I am not really all that good with flavour so it is hard to verify or deny claims. Seems my scumdar is off today though.
