So let me get this straight, the bandwagon on me is for a perceived belief that I picked up on the possible cult aspect and therefore I'm the recruiter? This is a WIFOM argument, plain and simple. Maybe, since I'm not the cult recruiter, I'd point it out because it's too obvious if I was. But then, if I was the cult recruiter, maybe I'd point it out so you all don't think I am the cult recruiter. Circular reasoning at its best.

jonty125 wrote:unvote vote: safariguy5 not for the 1st time.

I'm going to unvote, vote shieldgenerator for bandwagoning and Fos jonty for doing the same. Seriously, the "case" on me has no logical grounding, and given the way the day scene was written and the size of the game, having some sort of cult element is not out of the realm of possibility.

The case on safari is ridiculous.

An experienced player gets a cult leader role so his first act is to interpret a debatable sentence in the scene as evidence of the existence of a cult? Do you guys realize how silly that sounds? Everyone on his bandwagon is suspicious imo.

Out of those shield pops up, because of this statement:

shieldgenerator7 wrote:I agree with jonty. Vote Safariguy

This in response to:

jonty125 wrote:FOS safari based on these last two posts.

which is in response to

So yeah, I'm pretty sure he did immediately jump to cult recruiter, as in fact this was his first post in the thread.

Oh yes, my bad. I was looking at his explanation of roles post. I see what you mean.

You had already voted for safari specifically because of that exact post.

He liked the Power of Red and he wanted more. He supposed the other reason was that Lack had a thing for Peanut Butter and with his nut allergy it just wasnt working, Bananas on the Menu!!!

Clapper PMed him his usual briefing report, her ride to Red had been pretty slick as well, all slick and ready to go, except for that pesky Lackattack and TheSaxlad causing the usual bother, also I've heard reports of another group, but nothing too big, we'll crush them easily. All Of them. Andy sat back, he couldn't remember it ever being this good.

On the other hand Lack and his Team were preparing for that day, "script?" Check. "Cybergun?" Check. "Fake Banana?" "No but ive got this thing that..."

Day 1 Begin!

Could be McGill, could be the FW peeps, but we should definitely be aware of this.

I think you picked up on that especially because you're one of them. Unvote Vote safari

This leaves you 2 options for your reaction:

1. You voted safari the first time without actually reading his post and only read it now, which means you were just looking for an easy lynch.
2. You reiterate your suspicion of safari based on exactly NO new evidence, and are therefore just trying to get any lynch you can while clumsily trying to appear active.

Also, this is more speculative, but the fact that shield would say he agrees with such a weak post by janti + the fact that both of them are new and might make such an obvious slip might mean they actually have linked roles.

Anyway vote shield

Haggis' post convinced me there's something fishy going on with shield's behavior.

Shield, I won't be hasty and vote yet because I don't want to see a wagon rise and kill a possible townie, so I'll wait for your next post (which should be your defense vs. Haggis' post). If you don't do a damn fine job of convincing me, I'll vote on you.

It seems firth is a little overprotective of hank here.

Either you stay in joke vote fase, or you get serious. But don't call people out on joking around when you won't contribute anything yourself. ZING!

This argument is weak at best. It's day one, and hank looks more like he's joking around than trying to waste time in order to benefit the mafia. This doesnt warrant a vote though. So hank, start getting serious. Streaker unvote.

I understand my case isn't very strong, but it is also Day 1. It's free for you to get hank moving, it's completely wrong for you to dictate MY moves. Why would you order me to unvote? I will consider unvoting if hank actually makes a defense, not before that. He seems to be ignoring my post.

firth4eva wrote:

unvote vote hank

Bandwagoning again? Admitting to voting someone despite not being suspiscious of them(I know it's day one but there is a clear issue on whether it is suspiscious that safari pointed it out)?

unvote vote yoshi

And again with the defense of hank.

In support of my case on hank, here are his latest posts.

So after I called him out on his reluctance of building cases, while he asked himself to get the game going, this is what he gives us. My VOTE will stay with hank, for all these reasons until he gives a proper defense.

FoS firth for not only protecting hank, but telling me what to do.

In other news:

Bleed green shows up, admitting to skim the game. FoS Bleed

I'm gonna need to reread the interaction between shield and josty, something is off between those 2.

It's getting difficult for me to tell the difference between scummy and n00by plays in this game.

I mean yea, if we were all experienced players then what shield and hank did were absolutely fucking stupid, but I think they just don't know what they're doing and I see innocence in them.

I feel like I see some alliances or whatever. Like Egg_McMuffin mentioned before, shield and jonty are probably together (but I don't necessarily think they're scum, just n000bs).

But also some of the defenses of safari seem a bit of overkill. Don't know if they're scum, 3rd party or town alliances though (derp! obviously).

Very interesting read between josty and shield. I think it's beyond being new.

When rereading, I got the feeling both jonty and shield don't even know what the case against safari actually comprises of. There is not much more rather then him linking a day scene possibility of cult to a possible recruiter. It's not far fetched. On this forum, I've seen a LOT of recruiting third parties, and he was just playing with the flavour.

Zing!

Both jonty and shield seem to find it a lynch-worthy deal, and hank jumps on the wagon with his vote after being pressured by me. That's without even providing ANY kind of defence. Add firth's protection of hank to the mix, and we have a load of suspects here.

Haggis points out another very interesting point, where shield already voted, then revotes on the same person. Contributing to the thought he just wants an easy lynch without even bothering to read the case he is jumping on.

My premier suspect is still hank, but if you guys feel more comfortable pressuring either jonty or shield, I'll help. Firth is my nr 4 suspect. Zing!

I had already voted for safariguy because I thought he was suspicious. That was before jonty voted for him. In fact, my most recent vote for safari was a reiteration of my previous vote. I am not in any alliance with jonty.

Again with the vague evidence. How was I suspicious? Because of the day scene? Regardless of whether or not you voted me before jonty, your position on my wagon was still at least 3rd or 4th, which is prime bandwagonning position. Add to that the fact that you didn't bring any new evidence to the table while voting me then and you didn't bring anything new while voting me the second time, I see that as two counts of bandwagonning with no real reason beside vague feelings of "looking suspicious".
