Re: Sanmatsu-mura - Day 4

Ah, I think I know what's going on here. I investigated Edoku last night and got anti-town. I'm thinking maybe we've eliminated the only able-to-kill scum (either Yabu or Edoku, though my money's on Edoku - apparently there was some serious hate in his heart). So, basically we need to figure out who is the kill-less scum and we're good. Or we could just keep voting no lynch for lols :D

 Nice try

Night 4
As soon as the meeting starts Gatsu coldly announces that he has proof of Sullimoto's guilt. Sullimoto's only defence is some odd claim about not going down so easily. This peculiar threat, combined with his odd behaviour of late ensures that the town people quickly reach the conclusion that they'd quite like to see his head next to his feet.

The proceedings for seppuku go uneventfully, Sullimoto seeming quite at peace, not worried in the least. He kneels in the traditional position, Lala Ando behind him having volunteered to act as kaishaku. He grabs the knife, waits a moment, then suddenly lifts his body mass just enough so he can pivot on the ball of one foot and lunges at Ando.

Lala is obviously surprised by this sudden burst of speed, who would have thought an old man capable of such a feat, this causes him to hesitate for a moment, which means that my the time his sword strikes it doesn't hit Sullimoto's neck, only his left arm. Sullimoto seems to not even notice the sword half-way through his upper arm and instead completes his lunge by putting his dagger through Ando's chest, just as Gatsu's sword strikes through his.

"Fools" he mutters one last time before Gatsu flips him over on the ground and decapitates him.

In the mean-time, Shino rushes over to see what state Ando is in. The dagger went straight through his heart, killing him on the spot. The old man was certainly no amateur.

This was indeed a bloody day, but, it also saw the last threat to the village killed. The townspeople would continue to be careful for some time, and the meeting would continue to be held, but no more killings would occur.

Sanmatsu-mura was once again safe.

Eh really the maf could only kill if they hammered the lynch. So the town was kinda overpowered. If I hadn't fucked up D1, then it would've been a lot easier.

Well, no. You'll notice others have different oppinions. *cough* Tails :D

This could have gone a lot of ways. If it went bad for the town, (town lynched day 1, hammered by scum and all nk's hit town), town would have gotten down to 1 man by day 2. On the other hand it could've gone equally bad for any of the factions(and it did go specifically that bad for Edoku).

As oit played out, i thought it was pretty close. Had Sullimoto decided to not kill it woul've been mafia win.

But it was certainly a mess.

Heh, scum secretly masoned up with cop.

Guy who can kill the one who hammered him.

Scum AND Town who have incentive to hammer.

Good times

Dude, as much as I enjoyed your storytelling the balance was nonexistent. It's good to make a crazy game but not much point if you're biased towards one faction. It's a freaking miracle town won with this setup. We could have lost if Flores hammered instead of Lala despite losing only one townie, not getting NKed and always targeting scum. We similarly could have lost Night 2 if Tailz had targeted a townie, or if Tailz was hammered by a scum that would then be able to NK on top of the SK kill.

Town had against them:
-2man mafia, one of which would be investigative proof (obviously I would never have waited to investigate the TWO scum before trying to lynch one so that mechanism was just silly, plain GF powers)
-One SK with one-shot bulletproof that could daykill
-One motherfuckin miller out of 4 members, AND a bomb that could as easily kill an extra townie
-One cop that could be tricked by scum (I didn't buy it much but never expected scum team+SK which pushed me to trust lala more than Victor)
-No protection besides the bulletproof role that you also made the most likely to be lynched
-Potentially 5 deaths in a single day & night, while it was absolutely impossible to have all scum killed in the same timeframe
-A daykiller that could become suicidal

Not to mention the flavour that had town stuck with "ronin", "shinobi","thief", remarkably trustable characters, and had against them monks. Seriously, if you had tried to make sure townies would get lynched you couldn't have done it better.
So yes, while town won it was on very low odds and could have much more likely been a bitter defeat even after playing an almost perfect game.

While again I really appreciate your creativity, effort and storytelling next time please consider this simple question: "Do all players have an equal chance to win?" (one traditional exception would be the SK that compensates by being pure awesome, though some mods have tried to tweak the role in the past to make it more resilient. An extra life in a game this small still makes no sense though).

On an unrelated note, wtf Victor? Were you just trying to get scum to hammer you? I'd like to know if you were just random or if you had a plan, as frankly even though I suspected you could be a bomb after what you said at the beginning of the day it seemed like you were intentionally wanting town to lose -_-

How about you don't think of it as town vs scum and think of it as 3 factions.

SK faction had 2lifes, 1 NK every 2 days(while on his first life), 1 DK(while on his second life)

Scum faction had 2 lifes, 1NK for every hammer, possibility to confuse cop(remember, i didn't tell you lala was innocent, i didn't know how the cop would based off of a inconclusive result, could have lynched, also the communicating with you is also debatable, you could have profited from it just as much as they did)

Town faction had 4 lifes, 1 cop, 1 tracker, 1DK, 1 Bulletproof guy/Bomb and 1NK for every hammer(with restrictions).

I mean you say all the ways you could have lost, well Edoku did lose N1, and scum could have lost N1 as well. Town was actually the only faction that couldn't lose N1.
