You don't think that the ptlowe claim was unnecessary, risky and in general terms a bad decision? After all, it got him NK'ed.
As you can see in those posts, I was noting a connection between ptlowe, Snorr, IB and benga, and later I include also wing in that group. To me was (still is) weird that people play organized, agreeing really fast to each other, and joining bandwagons in block. To me, specially in early days, is a scummy behaviour. You see a point there?
Now, we have indeed other elements of judgment, and pretty much has storr cleared, and also ptlowe confirmed, but at the D2 we didn't have that information.
In the other hand, whatsausage lynch was the best case of D2, and as i say then, i consider him to play against town in both of their powers, and also he lost interest in defend himself...I dotn see why my vote is suspicious for you? what about the other votes?
Now, I see this is a traditional way to play mafia, trying to find patterns, but in this game we have to consider all this claiming and extra powers on it . We have cops, doctors, gods, claimed. What are your thoughts about this mass claim thing?
Yes, I thought town cop claiming was a damn stupid thing, but did it make me suspicious? No, not really. I personally expect scum to move with bit more subtly. Plus Insane cop had just died, and in any typical game, Insane cope comes with the assumption of Sane cop. I was confident that he would have been counterclaimed if lying. Either way, mafia 101, you don't lynch the claimed cop, and you don't lynch the claimed doc, those are pretty much the two golden roles token to every single game that isn't pure vanilla.
Yes, I can see how a few players seem to be buddying a bit, it is a bit disconcerting, strategically... As for the scumminess, I'm on the fence. Whatsausage was a fair lynch, I just found it a bit odd that it suddenly picked up so much power right when we started saying "Wait, I bet town can really use this role...".
I am against a mass-claim, like I said, this is not a NV game, nor it is it a game with standard balance or setup. All bets are off on Streaker's meta as a mod, and that's the one thing that you really, really need to know when weighing roles in a mass claim. Like IB said, PT couldn't be saved despite being the town cop, not a peep from watchers or trackers either. What are the chances any other power roles are going to be safe?
