You seem to be putting in a good effort to catch up on him, but yes, I wouldn't be opposed to a mitch lynch after his last post.

I'm more willing to go for Dakky.

From Mass Effect wiki on wikia...
The Thorian, also called Species 37, is an ancient sentient plant at least fifty thousand years old - its ability to hibernate for thousands of years makes its real age impossible to guess. The Thorian is a unique creature with mind-controlling and telepathic abilities, and a massive sensory network. It releases spores into the air that allow the Thorian to control those who inhale them, using pain to control their behaviour. These 'thralls' then tend to the Thorian and obey its will.

Last post was on the 8th, and it was just to stick his head out to wiki post what a Thorian was. Unless he's played ME extensively, he would have already googled this to find out what it was. This was when the debacle about third party was ongoing and this was all he said on it.

SO whatever, Vote Dakky.

I agree his tangent post is slightly odd, but why would dakky having googled or not be relevant at all? Whether he did or didn't know what a Thorian was, he could still quote Wiki for someone else.

I also do not see whats the reasoning behind that vote. Anyway, my activity has been lower due to IRL issues. I'll have a lot more time from today.

DoomYoshi and myself also haven't posted since the 7th.

Likewise Skoffin, who hasn't posted since the day before that.

Or even Fircoal, whose ONLY post is this on the 5th:

Bit of a strange one this. Obviously I can't go into detailing my role PM, but the way it's worded from DDS, I understand that 3rd Party are hostile but there only might be one. Regardless of that, as I said in my last post I'm thinking there probably is one due to the numbers.

Obviously you should have no problem in stating that you are town and what your win condition is.
The things you say make me think you are hostile third party.
My vote on you stays.

Literally one of the worst ideas. You either knew who was lowest ranked and just wanted a random excuse to off them or didn't check and are going for a random bandwagon. Day 1 lynches are practically random most of the time anyways, lynching someone based off of this will give us no useful information and is more likely to hit town than anything. At least pika's going off of activity, which isn't much better given the nature of today, but it's not completely random. Bit of a fos on caffeine there. Won't really do anything but maybe we can get those people pika mentioned to say something else before day ends.

Well Chu is more than just inactive. He's been specifically inactive in this game. I could get behind this.

Inactivity at the best of times is a drag on mafia games. Especially quick paced games like this one. It can however also be a sign of mafia or third party trying to keep a low profile by not talking as much. I don't specifically recall Chu doing this as mafia in the past and that's why I'm holding off on an actual vote for the moment but the fact that he's posting in other games makes his absence extra odd here.

That is as good of reason as any for a vote day 1... at the least it should get him active more. vote fircoal

Thorthoth wrote:So not posting is bad because... why?

Scum often tries to not get noticed by not posting... you can't get caught making a slip in your post if you don't post, right? Often the more someone posts, the more you can make a case about them, right or wrong. While if someone doesn't post there isn't much to base a case on. So to discourage scum being inactive (and because it does often catch scum), it's common to vote barely active players for "scummarining"

I've seen plenty of people literally do random lynches or lynch for other inane reasons. I"m not about to discount what reasons people would lynch for when I haven't played with them before. Sorry bout the assumption.

I gave some thoughts about other people's reasoning and to get a feel for the kind of players they are since that will help me in getting more accurate reads as the game progresses. D1 is very good for learning more about the type of players you're with. Samlen you don't need to apologise, I'm coming across as a dick just because it gets a wider variety of reactions. I'm also, generally, a dick.

I'm holding off on my vote for now.

Chu posted in another game. That post was meant for this game (those still playing the other game can confirm). Why he hasn't redirected his post to this game, however, is beyond me. I'm not comfortable voting him just now, though. Several players are guilty of lack of participation.

No, wait. His post was not meant for this game. It was meant for the one night mafia game. He posted this:
Fircoal wrote:Ok real talk time.

I was the seer and I investigated Frenchie-chan. He was the alpha wolf. The whole reason I was playing coy with information that whole time was because I thought he might have given me the wolf role. But given his reaction I don't think he did. Anyway I believe what Dakky is saying so unless someone switched him (I don't think they did) he's probably a bad guy.

Then followed it up with this:
Fircoal wrote:
lord voldemort wrote:dakky is saying what? im confused fircoal

lol I wrong threaded so hard. I'm not even sure how that happened.

So, in essence... Whoever said that chu is only posting in other games is right. I'm more inclined to vote him after this last realisation (I don't know why I'm slower than everyone else), but Skoffin and Doom (and whoever I have forgotten because I'm on my phone) are quiet too, which must be taken into consideration.

I'll most likely vote for chu. Do we have a vote count?

I had unvoted Pikanchion. We've only got a few hours left. I held off but if we have any chance of getting info or a lynch out of today it's Fircoal. unvote vote Fircoal. BCS, he is dead weight right now and we can't afford inactive in a quick paced game like this.

I don't want to lynch an inactive D1, Chu knows how to play, I don't think he would be silent like this even as scum. Either a Post restriction role or really inactive, but in that case replacement would be better than a wasted lynch.
