I think that information is important though at this stage in the game so I can agree with jak about ghostly. Although I have to say that I don't think doom should have claimed the hide action (it makes you vulnerable and gives the mafia more to work with) and it doesn't clear hippo given the high chance of him being recruited.

I would say nil chance of recruitment. Why would anyone recruit a mostly inexperienced VT?

Because he is pretty much cleared, he was the safest townie as you showed with hiding behind him. Having the player most likely to be town in your faction is very beneficial. Also a VT is likely a safe recruitment, if you try recruit Neo it may not be allowed etc.

Bullshit.

Trinity a tracker, okay. Trinity and Neo a couple, okay. Neo bulletproof, okay. Neo a hider? What the actual f*ck.

Vote Doom

I suspect you've been lying to us. I suspect you switched around your claims, Neo is the tracker and Trin is the hider. Lovely little strategy, but you're forgetting that whatever you two don't disclose, town can't use. Stop playing SK and start playing town, for heaven's sake. I completely understand why Edoc'sil would now suspect a recruit between the two of you.

What would be so bad if they switched their claims?

I dislike lying townies. Elaborate plots and schemes are for scum. Secondly, this could easily have gotten them killed if the busdriver drove anyone with Doom. Thirdly, this continues Jak's pattern of deliberately depriving town of information and Godmoding, which is imho a poor way of playing claimed town. Edoc luckily already addressed the small scope that a tracker has anyway, otherwise I would've had so much more to rant about. :p

It's not completely proven that they switched claims, but I refuse to believe that Neo is only a hider.
I can see it as a legit defensive maneuver. For instance, if scum thinks that jak is a tracker when he is a hider and Doom is the opposite, then they would try to kill jak and fail, while avoiding Doom, when he is a prime target.

One thing that bothers me, though, is if they had switched, how could they know the results of their night actions? Presumably saf would only give "Doom's" tracking results to him when day starts, at which point he wouldn't be able to hand it off to jak to claim with.

They actually stated that they had some kind of code for passing information earlier in the day.

vodean wrote:so what you guys are saying is that you really think mafia would push for a mafia lynch?

It may be a WIFOM defense but its a lot stronger than your flavor case

It is a pretty standard tactic actually, this is one of the situations in which the WIFOM defence is useless because the deeper layers are actually quite likely.

I think it is claim time for shieldy boy.

Anyway, are you trying to bring up old things with this PMC or are you just stating? If you're really trying to bring the case back up about mine and Doom's secrets, I will gladly shoot this down.

I was catching up because I hadn't posted in a few days. Shoot what down? You said something about sharing information via a code earlier in the game, I wasn't accusing you of anything I just seen the point and was correcting it. (i.e. that you couldn't share info at the start of the day)

Its been 3 days and no word from either SG7 or ghostly. how do we proceed? do we need to put SG7 @ L-1? maybe that will get his attention and if it doesn't is he our lynch for the day? Or do we move on to something else while we wait?

Vote Count

doom(1)- aage
shield(8)- dj, betiko, hippo, IB, vodean, doom, chuck, everywhere

With 18 alive, it takes 10 to lynch.

In regards to accusations of flaming, if it's any help, I'm also a discussions mod, and I would probably be handling any reported posts. To clarify your concerns vodean, I don't see any posts that would warrant a warning. So you theoretically could report posts, but that doesn't mean we're going discipline someone. Far as I can tell, nobody is calling anyone else something profane or derogatory enough to warrant a warning. If anyone has any issues with someone's post, I urge them to shoot me a PM.

In the wise words of Mr Brady
Cindy, you know by tattling on your friends, you're really just tattling on yourself. By tattling on your friends, you're just telling them that you're a tattletale. Now is that the tale you want to tell?

And this
Jan, a real friend likes you for who you are, not what's on your face. If you judge your friends for passing judgment on you, you're not only judging yourself you're judging your friends for judging you. And that would be using bad judgment.

Lol @ accusations of flaming. Vodean, you basically have to be a racist bastard or religion bashing idiot to earn vacation time. Go peruse a post or two of Pimpdave's if you want to see what you can get away with here.

I think we should give him a bit longer, SG7 can be erratic.

He's had longer Jonty. He's had since I privately outed him at the very start of the day, he would know he'd have to claim or at least pop in but he hasn't even said hey yet for today.

24 hours is agreeable time.

My problem is lynching someone, without giving them a chance to defend, but if he doesn't show up, I will vote him.

I like to hang people who can't be bothered to show up to play. Then they get blacklisted.

I feel he has had enough time.

Vote SG7

If you're not going to bother to take the time to show up and play the game, I'm not going to bother giving you more than a few days to come forward.

It is strange though that you decide to kill a power role, albeit pro-town or anti-town, without even hearing a claim.

There is a major difference between doing it to a completely inactive player who has no chance of recovery on day 2 and doing it to someone who can easily come back on day 4. I actually think he has an ok chance of flipping scum, but still ridiculous.

I agree that there is a difference, I thought the difference lay in the fact that shield is a known PR. In any case, what's done is done, edoc has played enough to know that he is accountable for this tomorrow.
