the way to test him is simple, you just get him to investigate (i believe thats what they call his action) someone and he will see if they go anywhere (i think??). he can say where they went and if the person shows up dead, obviously it was either a cop who was late, or it was the mafia member (more likely). i believe i have the role correct, but if i dont please correct me.

and what if they dont go anywhere?
see that could be an excellent excuse for him to use to make us believe him

but who would say they visited someone?
and then again he could talk to his mafia buddy and they could say they didnt visit as they are town
then they slip back under the radar

Alas, nothing is foolproof with night actions without a massclaim and everyone to be telling the truth and scum to all claim VT's (or to be counterclaimed)

I love how many people are PROTECTING Isaiah's claim, either isaiah is scum or someone who is helping him is. Or both.

Here let me break it down for you.

-You tell him to investigate someone and they turn up dead he will just say that the mafia killed him for either we pointed him/her out or because it was a random mafia kill
-His role without having any investagators (If you are one shut up for at least 2 days so you can get us some damn info) cannot be proved right. <.< Sure he could investigate someone and he says something, the other person says something different, either of them could be mafia, who are you gonna believe and risk killing your own? And a tracker is worthless in my eyes 50% of the time <.< What if someone with an investagator role visits someone the same night as the mafia, are you gonna risk killing a good legit power role?

So if you believe him now and he turns out to be mafia, and you don't know about it because you chose to believe him, are you gonna kill someone else by what he says? Or he's good and he checks someone who might've been bussed (happened in our last game because I bussed two people, a and the tracker targeted one person who targeted who I switched the targeted person with that he saw him target himself due to the bussing BUT he targeted the other person that I bussed as well, not seeing who THAT personn targeted in the first place) so he gets an innocent person targeting someone who was killed but in reality he was really checking the other bussed player... See where I'm going? Tracker can be useless at times and good at others.

Until someone can confirm his role legit, I'm going to keep my lynch vote on him. His role to me in my one full game experience isn't as powerful as you all try to make it out to be, it can be turned around and kill innocent people, or what I'm thinking and a few others are, is that he's making it up... Who's to say there IS a tracker in the game?

For the exact reason to say that there may not be one.

Assuming there's a tracker in the game is like assuming there's a busdriver, a hitman, a bulletproof, etc... We can't know for sure...

But what we CAN know is how scummy he was up to the claim, which even that if there was a tracker I'd think of him more as the captain or someone else, not a cabin boy.. A cabin boy sounds like what safari was in our last game, a hider. Not a tracker. Like I said when I started my case against isaiah, if in the lynch scene he turns out to be town, question me in the mourning, but if he doesn't just be thankful we have one less mafia to deal with.

Right now if I wanted to with how foolish you are all acting I could fake claim the captain and say I'm an investagator... <.< You'd be foolish enough to believe me. Which is sad. But as I am not I will not claim that, and what case have you been working on jonty BESIDES coming up with excuses for isaiah? What have any cases many of you been working on? SHOW US A CASE instead of words, I want something to go by, not someones lousy "It's not me" thing. Otherwise I guess it's not a single one of us mafia if we all believed each other, eh? The mafia would just come out and be like "Hey yea, you know I kill you in the night time, its me, come and get me" -.-...

Ok, if we're in this whole What If scenario, what are you gonna do if he flips Town? In us 16 players it's more than likely D1 lynch will be on town rather than mafia when no conclusive evidence leading either way, which is why I believe we may as well let a possible power role live (who can give valuable info later if reliable), and search out one of these other possible inactives who aren't helping us out either way?

I can understand why you're thinking in your fashion, but me having come from the Tracker being lynched on D1 in one of the first mafia's I saw after he still claimed that, it just seems like a terrible waste...

Yes!!! First time I get to use this! Jak, your entire argument is...wait for it...WIFOM. All we have to go on is his claim. Everything else is guessing. By your argument there are no good power roles as they can all be blocked, bused, etc. and I explained why I initially voted him...and I was right on. I'm not sure what your added "pressure" will do. He's claimed. Do you want him to claim again? Maybe put it in fancy letters...

He could well be mafia, but we've got info on his claim as well as votes on record. Push for the lynch if you will, but I won't be in on it. Does that make me mafia? Or a townie who wants info from another source?

i guess the question now is "Are or will any claims be believable?" If someone claims then someone else just says they are lying. Is there a way to prove anyone's claim with out lynching them? I have read and reread the past few pages several times. I think we have a boat of politicians!

Ya kiwie but some are believable in my eyes
If the player is acting scummy all game and another hasn't dropped any scum tells I am honestly more obligated to believe him over the scummy looking player

No that's just being weird Isaiah! From my perspective my vote is on you because you claimed as a cabin boy then claimed as a tracker and generally acted scummy. Whilst I can appreciate that you are not happy about the vote, put yourself in my shoes. Would you believe you from this point on? How would you prove to you that you are not scum? What plan have you got that could possibly help the rest of us? What would you say you should do in your shoes?? That is, enough with the flailing and give me something so I can trust you for the future!!

And admittedly hippo, considering this is only my 3rd mafia game, and I'm still getting used to this, I did act a little scummy, though not on purpose. So yes I am not happy, but I only have myself to blame, and I accept the consequences of my slightly noob actions. As for my claim of cabin boy/tracker, that is a true claim.

My vote stays with him for a lot of reasons.

^ THIS is not applicable to the argument, you're trying to put words into peoples' mouths. At this point if others are willing to help I want him lynched. Sure we might be wrong, but if we knew when we were wrong and when we were right we'd win every time would we not? The fact stays not from what his claim is, but how scummy he was about his claim and the scummy-ness leading up to it. 4nd n0 1 d0 n0t w4nt f4ncy l3tt3r5. (<.< Ok, that just sickened me to type like that...) I want someone I can trust/believe/no scum slips/and no beating around the bush... To come up into this roulette going 'round and 'round to come up with a solution, or another legit case. I'm all for the inactive people but WHO are all the inactives? Which shall we pressure? Which do YOU think are most scummiest? Here's the list of inactives I'd have...

5. Victor Sullivan (Same as TeeGee)
7. TeeGee (was active 4-5 pages ago for a post or two.. <.< Not very active)
10. NoSurvivors (Last post was 8 pages ago...)

Bordering inactivity but made a few posts in the later pages...
new guy1 (Paintball)
ghostly447 (same thing as new guy)
Spartacus1973 (I suspect he's reading, but last time he posted was 3-4 pages ago)

Unvote, Vote NoSurvivors
If you're all up tight about isaiah I'll give him a single night chance to find out something for us, which obviously since everyone knows now what he is, he better not lie or it's walking the plank tomorrow.
As for No Survivors... Checking the pages back he's barely said a word, less then ANYONE else in here.. Let me count... he's made 6 posts (That includes the 3-4 completely off topic or sign up posts) in total.. If you want someone to pressure for laying below the radar there's our man.
<.< If any of you bitch about this vote I'll have my eye on you, if all you want is to vote for inactivity because you don't wanna work on the players atm, this is our biggest inactive..
