what??? this is only valid for the Capulets, which I believe you have a feud with, so there is no reason for you to push a lynch here, unless you think Edoc have some kind of super instakill all familymembers exept me and juliet...

I said you were wrong about your guesses :| Even if Rand J are dead and you find both your vigs dead try a no lynch. You might just find out that all the living players at that point will win. That message is the purpose of my role, I am one of the few who knew this.

As far as allies and you calling me a liar let me set this straight. You are never to call me a liar on this mater again. I will try to explain it one more time.

Our win conditions are compatible, but they are not the same. To my understanding if I win this game, so does every single other person alive. All I need to do to win is have the killers dead. I am assuming it doesn't explicitly say that you need your vig alive to win. If I am mistaken in that then I apologize. If your whole faction is dead I simply do not care. While I am aligned with Montague there is nothing in my WC with you being alive, its just easier for you and for everyone else if you cooperate, and I like it when as many as possible win together.

Sadly I don't think you are capable of organizing something like what is required for my WC so from my perspective you must go.

And edoc, why exactly do you want to expose me and what do you hope to achieve?

Also, mods, can you actually follow your rules and implement them, can't believe the blatant disregard of
2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from the Mod. The only things you may post (loosely paraphrasing) are your roles (and anything associated with them), and alignment, during the active game. Once the game has concluded, feel free to post the rest of your personal information. You may not post your win condition, how many words are in your role PM, or any other kind of way to get around not quoting PMs.

If this is not mod-kill worthy, I don't know what is, and even me as a relative beginner know it so when we have experienced campaigners of over '50 games' flouting the rules with such ease...
It may actually help get some rationality back in this game...

Well edoc if you had stated all this earlier clearly instead of being super cryptic about it, things might have been different, As far as calling you a liar you flipped from what you earlier stated to me about The WC's it looks like a no lynch is going to happen, and beings your still sure you have to get rid of me as usual, I seriously hope the vigs think close about their 2 targets. Easy to find on the last 2 pages.

Your in a corner Edoc and throwing out a different game than you were wanting to earlier, now you want to come forward with info and play nice,if you had done that earlier I might have been inclined to believe you.

Re: Romeo and Juliet Mafia [16/16] Day One

Postby alt1978 on Wed Feb 15, 2012 6:22 pm

I wanted to post before the deadline...i've been following along and have a lot of thoughts about the discussion.

Edoc...I seriously doubt that killing the two vigilantes is all that it is going to take for the threats to man(woman) kind to be abated. The play is set up really well for their to be four characters with killing power...
1) Tybalt...the obvious choice for vigilante for the capulets
2) Mercutio...the flamboyant and likely vigilante for the montegues
3)Prince Escalus...a power player who casts judgement and issues out life and death sentences and judgements at his discression
4)The poison maker (I am a shitty English Lit major because I had to look up his name) Apothecary...who is obscure but really cool and could have made the list into this game.

Those are just the obvious four. Romeo, Friar Lawrence, and possibly even Count Paris have the potential to have some type of killing power...one shots maybe or something like that...but all of these characters have blood on their hands in the play.

I'm not question so much your winning condition...I'm just putting it out there that the vigilantes may not be the only way for people to cease from breathing in this game.

To JGordon...I wanted to in particular address an assumption that you have been putting out there that doesn't make any sense to me...and that is that Romeo and Juliet and linked and will die if the other dies. I think in the spirit of the play makes the point that it is not so much that one cannot live without the other...but more so that the powers of fate will not allow free-will of individuals to be carried out. Unless you have more information about romeo and juliet than you have not yet let on...I really don't feel like this is a good assumption.

To Leehar...it is possible that zimmah has not sanctioned edoc and Jgordon because they have not actually violated the win condition revealing clause. Their win condition could be to have 6 people claim on day one to set some kind of mafia record.

I don't trust the banter going on between these two as not being some kind of gamemanship...I may be off...but I think testing the general's invincibility is a good productive move that gives us information we can use. I don't really know if I have played enough to be able to use the word scummy...but something doesn't come off right to me about how he came out firing...putting so much information out there...and then disappearing. Although that could be congruent with a forum ban...I don't know anything about that and when it took effect.

Therefore after much debate...

I Vote General

Alt my thoughts on R&J being linked and able be killed together is pure conjecture no basis at all, just a good hope that it might be so. Tried to not make it sound absolute, if it came out that way it was not intended to.

noone quoted or wrote their entire role pm, they just made claims about them. it's indeed not allowed to write or quote your full winning condition but this has not yet happened. although the game is not being played as i expected it would be, noone has crossed the lines yet.

claiming thing like you need X person to die or Y person to live is allowed, but dont overdo it and when in doubt, be sure to ask first.

sometimes the border is hard to see, like with survivors, you're allowed to claim survivor, but by doing that, you also soft-claim your win condition, but that's not considered breaking the rules.

i also think edoc is rational, yet a little aggresive towards jg. i think you guys all need to co-operate a bit more with each other, and read more carefully what everyone sais and claims.

either way:

Day 1 Summary:
In the morning following night 1 Friar john and the montague were discussing about their conversation last night. "I told you i'm only a montague by name, but i have nothing to do with this feud" he claimed. Others overheared the conversation and chose sides and rumors spread that Friar john may be a common treat to everyone, "what if he reports us all to the public? our whole family may get assassinated if it gets known what alignment we have.", "but he's far too usefull to kill" others said. And what about that so-called invincable guy? he doesn't look so strong at all to me, let's hang him from a tree and see how invincable he really is. In the end, the people of Verona could not decide on what to do, a lot of namecalling and shouting happened the whole day, but noone really wanted to cooperate, not even with their own family. Until the townspeople got tired and went to bed.

Night 2 START

it's now night please send in your night actions by PM
