[GON 2nd mafia game] The townies won

I can't believe my friend DB is mafia but not getting the last vote is bothering me. Either all the mafia has already voted for him or he is mafia and this is all a ploy to keep him in the game a long time. Thoughts? Someone help me!!!

Seems to me to be that the mafia have already voted for him, although I have to admit him voting for himself has me stumped. It is hard to believe he is some sort of jester where he wins if he gets voted out, I mean how could he be that lucky, and why would he not be the hammer?? But on the other side of the coin I can't understand why he would vote for himself if he was a townie OR mafia. Just doesn't compute to my inexperienced mind.

I cannot say what roles are in the game, anyway it's more fun this way. There is at least 1 mafia for sure, not gonna say if there is a 2nd mafia or 3rd party. Just go read what the roles are, it will help you figure out the possibilities. Scarlet, the reviver is a pro townie, not a pro mafia.

Are you saying there is a reviver then?

Do I really need to write "if there is one in the game" every time I talk about a certain role?

@ crasp, I am not trying to get a lot of claims here crasp, just standard amounts. 1 or 2 on the 1st day is about the most we want, unless there were extinuating circumstances.

@ check, I think I mentioned the psycology of voting on oneself. It makes the rest of the other players feel certain things... and is a good ploy to use occassionally. It swayed me not.

getting Elsuper or Ragot to claim would probably be a good idea, so we have something to compare with DB's claim.

Whats the point of this post crasp? We are all pretty active posters and there is activity going on right now so there would be a lot of people viewing the forum.

Unfortunately Santa just knocked on my door so i missed the cue for the second part of that post.(Caught me off guard and i answered. cost me a fiver. ) Everytime i look at the bottom of my screen i see you and scarlet lady sitting at the bottom like a pair of binoculars. Then if i make any comment in that regard you suddenly appear quickly followed by the Crown. Patterns, Mith patterns. Like the pattern that neither you or the other aforementioned are voting for DB. Or that the Crown, and DB are on a mission to get the whole town to declare. Or scarlet lady trying to convince us that there are only two mafia. If there are less than three and at least one third party I will eat my santa socks.

I get updates to my phone whenever there is a post here so I can stay up to date instead of waiting to get home from work/school and reading multiple posts.

What I meant was, he could unvote, someone else could then put a vote on DB, and then crasp vote to finish off DB4. The question is still valid, does crasp want to be the hammer?

with not much to go on day 1, it's tough. even jusplay has started talking, but saying nothing of value other than he wants a PM everytime we have a new day. They (elsuper and jusplay) are sticking by their votes and not wavering... which is a little suspicious to me.

I believe in a few things Crown. i believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and that you mis-read that post. Yes there are people posting nothing and there are people posting and saying nothing.However you know as well as i do that there are people posting and sticking targets right on their backs and the longer this goes on the more that is likely to happen.

I have sitting by to try to understand how this game works and try to read into everyone's post to see who is who, but it is hard to say who is mafia and who isn't. The only reason that I voted for db4 was because everyone else was voting for him. But, after reading all the posts I am starting to wonder if I need to change my mind or not.

So you bring up this old post for what reason exactly? It changed nothing as I was still looking for DB to claim... which I had missed, because I thought he was only giving what he thought RT meant, not that there was a claim in there. Sounds like you are trying to get people suspicious of me, over and over... and I don't understand your angle here. Have I posted something outrageous? Have wanted 10 people to claim? No. I am trying to be fair in a search for info, or a scum slip. The more people talk, the more we can derive things from what they say.

Oh, and ask yourself what emotions you had when he voted himself. He may have just done it to make you question yourself. An interesting move by DB... but notice he didn't hammer himself?

A person could vote themselves so to get people to think "hey, would a mafia vote for himself? That makes no sense"
Or "This townie is giving up because he is townie and sees no way out, so he must be townie"

I don't know why DB voted himself... but I do trust him less because of it... I think he's too smart for his own good.

I was stabbing people in their sleep and taking eyeballs for trophies in the last game. According to the people at work i had this icy stare for a month. None of the feelings translate outside the game.

Odds are, we are not going to hit mafia on day 1, without any info. But, it would show us voting patterns, so I think we should lynch someone to get more info, and we could get lucky. I would prefer one of the guys not talking to DB4, so we either need to take that path or not.
