He only has 1 kill so if he really is going to be so spupid we should block him or protect doom. Doom may be scum, I can't really tell either way but to kill him over this is just stupid when you have investigation to use too.

William, a kill is a last resort. It should only be used late in games. As far as the doomyoshi case, you've destroyed whatever case you may have had against him through your stubborn behavior. Maybe to you it looks like Doomyoshi is scum and you are trying to out him but by being stubborn and refusing to listen to what anyone else is saying you are just coming off as hard headed and whatever reasoning you may have is being lost through this attitude. This. I am quite certain that William's role is a true one (flavour + likelihood of her being in the game), but doing what you said you would do would only hurt town. If you're so sure that Doom is mafia - investigate him. Your stubbornness is only alienating you from town and if you really have the best intentions in mind for town, don't do something that would basically put is into a bad position. Doom definitely had done some scummy things, with 2 days remaining, there's really no point in trying to risk pressuring him tonight. With your investigation tomorrow, we would know whether he's scum or not (not 100% correctness, but I'd take the chances) and killing him then would be much better rather than risking something like that tonight and possibly putting town into a big trouble should Doom end up being a strong town power role.

If you have a limited shot ability and you are blocked trying to use it, the shot is not "wasted", so, yes, it's just like Strike did with the inventor in Actors.

I expect everyone to play by the same rules and when certain people feel like they are above them then I get rightfully pissed. How so? In 2 days, I doubt town would have enough time to organize itself to get enough votes. More importantly, though, we would be risking out another power role or risking a speed lynch. Personally, I don't how the benefits outweigh the risks.

It is likely that this would happen... And you don't think your kill could be redirected too? Hopefully, you will be protected, but just because there's a chance that your action will be messed with, you will cover in fear? If a kill is redirected from doom to someone else, it could possibly be even worse, so I really can't see your point here.

What commander is saying is that the case on Doomyoshi if it moves into the voting stage would be rushed and likely result in a lynch.

I'd actually rather risk you dying tonight or being interfered with than having you kill off a player for this limited of a case. It's often better for a player to go through the whole not using his kill than using it night 1. We simply do not have anyone who's dropped strong enough scum tells to create a scenario where they should be vig killed and if you are telling the truth (I'm honestly not sure but the name claim is strong enough) than you have abilities that are more effective at revealing if doomyoshi is actually scum.

I know it's probably not how you meant to say it but it almost sounds like you're relieved that there isn't any good targets for you to have to vote. yes L-9 or L-2 generally is how far the person is away from lynch. Everyone would like to live to the end, but the goal is for your "team" to win, whether it be town or mafia (unless you're a 3rd-party player with a different win condition). Lots of people are going to die, so the goal should be to help your team as much as possible before that happens.

for information sake, there are 5 different basic categories that a normal mafia game may possess (town, mafia, serial killer (sk), cult or third party). To expand:

1. Town: the uninformed majority in most games. Consist of vanilla townies whose only ability is to vote and various roles that have some kind of ability associated with them.

Win condition: win when all threats to town are eliminated. Can have other win conditions like they have to survive or some other win condition.

2. Mafia: the informed majority in most games. In general, the mafia controlls the kill at night.

Win condition: reach a majority in the game and eliminate all threats.

3. Serial killer: a lone gun man. The serial killer gets one kill every. Night with some variation (poisoner-kill delayed one night, arsonist-victims are primed and can all be lit on any night, one shot SK etc).

Win condition-be the last man standing. Possiblie alternative win conditions.

4. Cult-a group of non-town non-mafia players. Usually a lone recruiter who recruits people to his faction each night. Traditionally a cult recruiter will die if he targets mafia or sk.

Win condition: reach a majority in the game. Though some cults only goal is to survive.

5. Third party- more a general assortment of any players who don't fit into the first 4 categories. Examples:

Survivor-only goal to survive the game.

Lyncher-goal is to get a specific person or role lynched.

Jester-goal is to get himself lynched. Doesn't work if night killed (rare in serious games).

Reverse jester-only goal is to get himself killed. Doesn't work if he is lynched (rare in serious games).

So that's just some general information.

OK, finished reading. Still have the first questions above. Figured out that the person beside your name in the vote list is who voted for you, not who you voted for. I'm pretty sure of that anyway. Looks like L-9 means "lynch minus 9" or that there's 9 more votes needed to lynch.

I believe Wild's claim. I'm pretty sure I know of one other person that isn't mafia. But have no idea who is mafia. With only 1 vote for me, I'll probably just sit back and sail through to the next round with no vote.

I tend to agree with you, slow, and that was my first reaction when he claimed, however for our theme it's less obvious as to what role might be assigned to each character. I don't believe I'd peg Cloud to be a JOAT, but truthfully I'm not sure what I'd pick for him - perhaps vig, but there could be better options out there; I'm not sure. I can see how JOAT might fit Tifa - one of the main characters (so definitely a solid power role), is the female supporting character for Cloud, however is tom-boy-esque and therefore wouldn't necessary be a full-on support-type mafia role (like a Doctor, for example).

This is all I really asked for, even though I disagree with Comm. All I want is a level playing field, if you ask something of me I would like the same to be returned.

unvote I will not kill Doom. I know this will hurt town in the long run if he is town. I really just want equality is all.

my reasons for not wanting a list and would rather have votes still stands. this is what lead to all my information coming out has even shed light on to why people voted for me and who still has votes on me. This is a lot more information that just saying who you think is scummy after a joke vote stage.
