Well, I know it's just first votes, but I'd like to say, now that we saw no NKs I'm again partisan of a single lynch for today, unless we have a veeery convincing second case after the first one. If it works anything like the 1st Inquisition, there's good chances the scum has recruiting abilities so even if there's no NKs we're not in a perfect position, but we still have a more than decent margin to take our time finding scum IMO. I prefer voicing this now than see later dozens of denunciations flying left and right =)

Syzygy, I suppose Jake meant 'us' since his 's' and 'w' don't seem to work anymore. Worse, that might be a contaminating post restriction as Exile can't type 's' either!

About the technology, that's a good question. I was surprised to see N8 only labelled as Heretic (Mafia), but Aim's scenes hint at 2 factions. That or he's screwing with us and there's no Moors Well, I suppose we can't know for sure till we catch another.
In any case maybe technology can be linked to the Free Spiriters that N8's death scene talked about?

Hm. you know, this gives me an idea.

If this is the same setup as the original inquisition, then there could be a heretic cult leader, and his henchman, which was n8. Now, in the old one, I couldn't kill and recruit by myself, and choose to do one or the other.

That means that if I'm right, the cult leader pretty much had to (attempt to) recruit someone for the mafia last night, and he didn't have a minion to carry out the kill; hence, no night deaths.

I still think that LSU's disease may be the link to the Moors, though.

The thing with Koesen... I'm not particularly fond of his playing style, but it wouldn't be unheard of if he is on the straight and narrow. My gut tells me to watch him even closer now though...

As far as the no night kills? I think I'm inclined to agree with the mafia night recruit theory and the LSU Day Vig theory.

I will be going out of town for a day or two on Tuesday morning, so I will be denouncing one or more people tomorrow night based on what I see at that time.

My, was that a hassle. Overall I don't get a scum vibe from Koesen. There are certainly elements that seem weird looking back, but the fact he was out there not worrying about getting heat on him, the fact Mandy accused him (and Mandy is never right), and a guts feeling tell me it's not enough. Then again, I can't remember a game where Koesen was scum so no clue if it's just his style, but it appears pretty town-like to me.

and no, I mean denounce. we got carried away with them "yesterday" to the point that two people almost got lynched. your initial assumption based on someone's post may be wrong, and you can't retract these denouncings. if you think someone is scum, FOS them and wait for their explanation.

That does sound plausible, but I would like to hear others opinions about technology back then.

I was the one who came up with the 48 hours theory and I think myself it's a meaningless coincidence, since there were two deaths. I just noticed it and thought I'd bring it up for you people to either reject categorically or worship in awe. As with everything else I said, it turned out to be the first

As for technology, the only general thing I know about this particular time frame, is that it was a few decades after the fall of Constantinopel, which caused many Greek scholars to flee to the west and bring about the Renaissance. It was an era of change, so inventions can't be ruled out.

Nor can discoveries, though there don't seem to have been any yet.

To clearify your question on day 1 the cough patter has to include the stars surrounding the word cough with a name in the middle. I also received a warning from using selin and aimless in the name area. unless i'm directing something directly at aimless he doesn't want his name there while the Selin matter was in a gray area which is why i got the 2nd warning.

If that means you may only cough on people in this game, may I suggest

(a) trying to see if you can get away with coughing on dead people instead of living ones?

or

(b) always coughing on the same person, so the casualties are limited.

And if you are absolutely certain you have found scum, you can off course always cough on all of them

Examining yesterday, one person now top of my suspicions list is Koesen..

My suspicion in him is mostly based on his voting patterns. I find this quote scumtastic.

I find it hard to judge n8freeman. He always seems to submarine. In some games he's scum, in others he isn't. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow to do a count of those who haven't shown up at all yet, and I'll be happy to join in their collective denouncing.

For now, I'm still mostly looking at Wicked and Mandalorian.

This quote screams to me: I'm defending my scum partner n8freeman and try and put focus on the "argument" between confirmed pro-town mandy and wicked. Well he denounced a number of people by the end of the game excluding n8freeman who in my view was most scummy and turned out to be a heretic.

In regards to your other point, I can not cough Aimless unless I'm directing my talk at him while it has to be someone currently playing in this game which would mean someone living as a dead player isn't currently playing under the warning notice I got.
