You do understand GT that if I get lynched today, the town loses, correct? And you also understand that anyone who pushes for a lynch today on a wild guess looks pretty scummy, right?

honestly do you really think i care what you think about whether or not im scummy, im the doc.

No one can really counterclaim it at this point without making an absolute mess of things.

Id actually rather lynch aimless than you. But i dont know if we will really be able to do that. And you really havent done anything to convince me or anyone else that you arent aimless's scum partner.

Bugger.

Narc, Wicked, there's a problem. Discounting the possibility that Aimless is a mafia cop (that would be way overpowered imho anyway) one of you may be starkweather, but not both. Thus, if we decide on that lynch today, we might lose, but if we lynch the remaining goon, we only lose 1 townie and we have an extension on the deadline (as there will be 3 townies and only one scum tomorrow - were that scum role not a godfather, the additional cop investigation would also help, but to counter there will be no need for the doc to protect the cop, callous as that may sound, because there's nothing more he can do that a townie can't, so we get a possible kill prevention).

So the question then would be, who's scum? GT or ML? I'm leaning towards ML.

GT, Xenha has said there is a cop in this game. And the way he worded it makes it seem like there is only one cop. I'd bet money there is only one townie cop in this game, b/c that makes sense in a mafia game.

GT, the scum would know the doc would protect Aim every night, like you did, it's what every good doc does. Aim is only alive b/c you kept quiet about your doc role.

If GT really is the doc, I'm voting ML for earlier logic.

i completely agree with the last sentence wicked...im why we are where we are now. The fact no one brought up that aimless wasnt getting attacked is a little odd

exile, read over my post about no lynching. I think that's the best way to go. Yes I originally voted b/c there was such a high chance of hitting scum, but when I went back to look at how many are left in this game, it became clear a no lynch is the way to go today.

unvote, vote no lynch

No-one lynches the cop. That's why he wasn't being attacked.

I'm heading to lunch. We have plenty of time "today" to discuss what to do. Please don't vote, as scum will just bandwagon.

i guess my whole thing is that if aimless is a clean townie cop....the mafia not once, ever took a shot at him? They didnt think maybe the doc would get bored, protect someone else, want to check if aimless wasnt running a play by him. They would be ok with the chance that a confirmed good guy cop (by the thread at least) would have chances to keep going after them as scum? Seems pretty bold from the mafia.

I can't mention games, but I know where that has happened. Heck, the town actually used that to their advantage one time to get the mafia not to target a power role because the town agreed to protect each other, and then one didn't, but the mafia targeted someone else.

A mafia cop in this game would be very unbalanced, especially given the lack of power roles amongst the townies dead so far.

Gah! I leave for a bit to deal with Sherwood, and miss about five pages. Here's my collected thoughts :

wicked wrote:We're not at LYLO today Aim, are we?

I'm pretty sure we are. There are six of us alive, and I'd bet money there are still two scum. A miss lynch and a kill bring us to 4 alive, 2 scum, scum win. A no lynch and a kill brings us to 5 alive, 2 scum - better odds, and we get another day of investigations.

got tonkaed wrote:I am the actual doc. Ive protected aimless every night since he has come up as the claimed cop. The fact that i havent died (maybe not all that surprising) or that the mafia have continued to kill every night without trying to attack aimless seems rather absurd.

We're in LYLO, which means I take no claims for granted.

got tonkaed wrote:Truth be told, and if this loses us the game ill take the blame, because i should be more infalliable here but Anark seems more convincing for me here, and really why wouldnt aimless investigate me last night, i was the one he was interested in.

Vote Wicked

you are probably his scum partner.

If I were scum, I would know we were in LYLO right now, and I would give a false guilty result to guarantee a scum win. The fact that I revealed a townie result should prove beyond all reasonable doubt that I'm town. Likewise, wicked is town (or Strakweather).

Anarkistsdream wrote:
wicked wrote:If he's a mafia cop, then why hasn't the real cop stepped forward??

Because there IS NO COP IN MANHUNT!!!

The actual name of my role is "The Reporter," which is in fact a role in the ManHunt game, and is cop-like (The Reporter is investigating Starkweather). I just looked this up.

got tonkaed wrote:its not simply bandwagoning as much as the only lynch prosepcts for me today are you or aimless.

Fwiw a mafia cop as the only cop makes some sense in a city as townie friendly as this one.

Or no lynch. If you are town, you should support this principle. Right now, there are three confirmed townies. Assuming that you are the doc and that you protect me, then I will get another investigation, one of the confirmed townies will die, and we'll be at five players, with either a scum result from my investigation or three confirmed townies.

The fact that it's possible that Starkweather is immune to my investigations throws this math off a little, but it doesn't change the fact that a no lynch is a good play for the town today.

If you guys want to no lynch, I'll do it against better judgement...

Unvote

I still think Wicked is guilty.

A no lynch would end up with 1 scum dead and 3 alive, one of which is scum.

It would go too far wrong now, and i'm convinced enough that ML is scum to risk the game on it, because if we get it right then I believe we get 2 extra days with which to find starkweather.

A no lynch is still the best play for today. If we assume that Starkweather is either Narc or wicked, then that means that amongst you, gt, and ML there is still one scum. If we no lynch, then that gives me another investigation. Obviously, I'll investigate one of you three. Either I'll get a scum result, or I'll have ruled someone out, which means that worst case scenario, we will have a 50-50 on picking the remaining goon tomorrow.
