okay so wasn't expecting three deaths, and i would agree, where were the protective roles in regards to CD? i think everyone has posted at least once today and nobody has said anything about who visited CD last night. but the good news is we got the cartel godfather, so one less scum to worry about.
good catch Mob, when i read the scene i was trying to figure out where the third kill came from a poisoner would definitely explain it,
as to the differing factions, well i haven't watched any of this show, but i would say we have two mafia groups, and a DEA faction, which possibly only consisted of CD.
i would vote rugbirn but i think he already has 4 votes on him, putting him at L-2 so i will wait for his claim, just a formality really.

If I were really super's scum buddy, I wouldn't have been nearly so overt. It would have been a huge risk to go in on it that fully. After all, there wasn't really a serious case on super in the last day but I brought it up anyway, because I had an issue with x-stor's argument. If I were on his side, I would have just let it die.

I'm not claiming. O.K., I admit it looks bad for me for 1 reason and one reason only. There were 3 people who visited XStor on N1. But remember how the N1 claims went down (pages 43-48):

1. After pressure, IAM claims he watched XStor and saw TFO & Rugbirn visit him also.
2. Rugbirn confirms his visit to XStor, and unvotes IAM cause he believes his visit story, as he would not know of Rugs visit otherwise.
3. TFO claims that his vote was lost for night action and claims it by saying:
"Yes, I visited x-stor-x with my random night action I earned from losing my vote (Which was ironically a watch!). IAmCaffeine and rugbirn visited x-stor-x. He's telling the truth."

4. When XStor askes TFO: "So tfo you cannot vote today?, TFO states: "Nope. Also, the reason I watched you, is that i've seen mafia in the past target players trying to lead town."
5. CD claims Hank the cop
6. IAM posts: "I have been framed yet you still want to lynch me. Thanks so much. Vote Rugbirn.
7. Rugbirn votes IAM and states: "IAM you weren't a watcher, you were a killer visiting Xstor and your lack of creative defense proves it. I believe CD and his claim" (pg 51)

Now, if you want to lynch me because I was wrong on these two counts (IAM was a watcher not a killer), and I initially believed IAM (#2 above), then go for it, but assuming poisoning is a N+1 action, I know that:

TFO is Gus the poisoner because:
1. He only claimed (ironically) to be a watcher after IAM saw him visit XStor and Rug admitted visiting XStor. But he was there to administer poison!
2. Without anyone asking, TFO explains why he visited XStor (which I thought was curious at the time). Obviously, guilt and cover-up to look
innocient.

Now in my defense, IAM voted for me because TFO was in his clan and IAM couldn't vote for TFO.

Reread 43-48, you'll come to a different conclusion than to vote for me. You do NOT want to lynch me.

I agree that we have 3/3/3/9 and I believe that with all the protection on him, CD was killered because of a busdriver.

One other thought: How covenient it was that TFO claimed he couldn't vote? He would have had to vote his clan to look townish.

This would be an option, but there's just one flaw here. MOB has received meth, and confirmed that there is a meth giver out there. (scum/town) who knows, but he gifts pr's for a night in exchange for the fact that they don't vote. Also claim already, scum received fakeclaims, so I don't see what your issue is. Also not getting the clan thingie, but scum can vote for other scum (called bussing), and can be used to build town cred sometimes.

Iron Butterfly wrote:Not a 180.

First a protective role in my eyes is someone who can prevent a kill.

That's a pretty accurate definition. I do feel like other roles can "protect" (note the quotation marks) in unorthodox ways, such as the existence of a town watcher keeping the town cop alive because mafia is not willing to target him and lose one of its members. Anyway, I feel like we are digressing.

Iron Butterfly wrote:With several factions now proven Rugbirn can be anything. He could have been an investigative, blocker or any number of roles for his faction checking to see what Stor was or preventing him from doing his job. he may have not been out to kill but that certainly does not rule out other options.

We know for a fact that Rigbirn visited Stor.
We know he accused Caff of trying to kill Stor.
We know that Caff was mafia red, which means that it is unlikely Rigbirn is Red BUT
We know he was not a Doc.

Now given that Rigbirn stated that Caff was there to kill...why would he do so? You stated you believed he was a protective role. You knew he could not be a doc. Why would you direct him? What role do you believ he was if doc was dead? You have not answered this question.

I directed him to:
a) make sure CD would live
b) have him accountable in case CD died

You know, there are other non-doc protectives roles. Bodyguard and jailkeeper come to mind, although I feel a town JK is unlikely in this game. Besides, it's not like I ever claimed I believed Rugbirn's softclaim. I said he softclaimed and that was that. Iirc I even made sure to mention there was the possibility he was mafia, which meant we shouldn't rely solely on his potential protection.

Iron Butterfly wrote:By my count we have 4 factions at work. Rigbirn could be the other mafia faction as well.

In my eyes asking who got Meth is reverse role fishing depending on the faction. We have four factions. Each person who admits to having meth rules them out as the meth maker/giver.

So with all that said I think it best to wait to see what information comes in from the night before we split hairs further Rodion.

You're mistaken again. Since the meth receiver lost his vote, it's a matter of time until he is found out. And we need to know if he got a watcher and, if affirmative, why he is not coming up with his report on who killed CD. So, MoB, did you get a watcher?

Iron Butterfly wrote:We would be foolish to not lynch Rugbirn but I will come out and say I believe Rodion is Mafia as well hence his wanting to find who has meth and his protection of Rugbirn.

Oh no, you didn't...

*huge sigh*

Finding out who got the meth is necessary to make sure mafia can't simply do whatever they want when they get it, See what I've said before.

And how the hell am I protecting Rugbirn?!?!?!

I was the only one that caught his softclaim yesterday and thus made him accountable in case CD died. My post mentioning your 180º was by no means a defense of Rugbirn, it was just me voicing my suspicion over your sudden change: yesterday you did not give Rugbirn's softclaim any credit whatsoever and thought I was reading too much into it, now you open the day giving credit to that?

I really like how you ignored Rodion's lead on Rugbirn yesterday, then follow Rodion's lead on Rugbirn today and, when Rodion asks you why the shift, you accuse Rodion of protecting Rugbirn. Come on, dude...

@Betiko: not sure Keener targeted Neb/PCM. Being the godfather, it is reasonable to think he'd want to keep his role clean of suspicions and send someone else to perform the kill. I believe Stor made the case for the same reasons he made his D1 case on Keener: he suspected him from the start. Not that this discussion matters, as Keener is dead regardless.

@Rugbirn: I think you have 3 votes (already disregarding MoB's), with Greg and Virus having manifested their intentions to see you claim. That's already L-1, so time to claim.

If you are town and claim and people believe you and you get killed by mafia tonight, that's already a win for town, as mafia had to "waste" their NK on you and we got to pick a different lynch target (possibly mafia).

TFO's vote loss has been thoroughly documented, so he didn't lie on that. MoB has further confirmed that upon receiving the meth last night. Your other points against TFO are valid, but you're the one with the wagon on you, so you should claim or be lynched. That's standard protocol for mafia games: when you get to L-2, you claim for a chance to keep living rather than not claim and get lynched for sure.
