my gut feeling on zivel's posts:

pershy's day 1 post: this is the typical mafia day 1 read where you give a small list of suspects and you throw in the name of a scum mate with a fluff acusation that no one will ever follow (always helpfull further in the game if he gets caught):
"pretender seemed to contradict his normal self (I'm used to playing with him in our clan and he's playing quite differently this time - which is cool, I shouldn't be prejudice but u know when u know someone and they act all weird)"

mtam's day 1 post: (he kind of reminds me of gregwolf when I read it, if some of you know him..). He gives a big list there and he is definitely going to throw in list one mafia in his "town reads"
"Legion (Hes paying attention to the game found a hotshot contradictory post and applied pressure, ++ points)". There was no real contradiction in hotshot's posts and I really never got why there was a case on him in the first place. "++ points", (the only one he assigns this to) for a pretty lame case? let's not forget that mafia targeted hotshots not too long after that
day 2: "People I like today
Hotshot (because of my new dislike for legion)"
"People I dont like
legion (pointing out the IB may not have been a target and couldve been on someone else and took the bullet, talking with a bit too much info, also looking for people that IB was pressuring on in hopes to create another ML)"
On night 2 after that hotshot gets killed. his 180° spin on legionnare and hotshots from one day to the next for total fluff just doesn't feel right.

for me, pretender is braavos's scum and legionnare is storm's end's scum (even if I'm not really sure he's from storm's end, it's the most likely scenario given that there is just 1 spot left in braavos)

Well all of KL seems to agree that Legionaire, Pretender and Jwied are scummy though we each seem to disagree on who is the most scummy.

Something that came up in our quicktopic that I had forgotten about with the Pershy case (I had used it kind of as bait to see what kind of reaction I might get before saying it in the main thread but does not seem like there is reason for that now). Zivel's role has been used on CC before as an "executioner". In New Briarsburg it was a scum role though a quick wiki search seems to suggest that it is commonly found in any alignment. I am still leaning town with Zivel but it seems like interesting information.

By the way, since I brought up Briarsburg. I still consider it to this day to be one of the best, funnest games I have played on CC and we need to find Mr. Squirrel and drag him back (preferably with his Hat) to mod more games.

Need to reread through the top scum candidates but legionare and pretender are both solid leads. I also like Sirius for making a case against charm that included a big stretch in concluding she has killing abilities:

From what I understand, charm said she has been rolebocked in night 1 and not in night 2, while we had only 1 kill in night 1 and 2 kills in night 2. Not sure what her role is, but she has killing powers and I don't think she is a vigilante, vote Charm.

Also good with utilizing both Zivel's and Robik's killing powers.

We know now that strike wolf is town, which mean that our town roleblock used his on charm in night 1, and in night 1 there was only 1 kill. I think it's safe to say that charm is mafia. The only thing that could convince me otherwise would be that strike wolf would come out saying he has a killing power and thus he was the one prevented from using it in night 1.

If you guys would rather follow one of your 3 other suspects I am willing to jump in on that, but charm is still my number 1 suspect.

This is exactly what I thought when I read this post. How does any of that make charm mafia?

Also, with regards to zivel (and I expressed this opinion in braavos qt), I think it's highly likely that it's a 3p SK role. It makes sense with being able to kill during the day and the night with multiple guesses and such. It could also be town, but I think it's more likely it's 3p. The reason for this is that it works well as a game mechanic to prevent mass claims destroying the game. Actually, now that I think about it, kinda makes sense as a mafia role.

Legionare is the highest on my scum list right now. He tried everything he could against my pershy case (on my ipad, can t look back to verify but pretty sure he tried to make me claim who X and Y are.. Either him or zivel or both). Pershy was definitely something worth trying and he tried real hard.

Yes I twisted and turned your theory around, not because I was trying to discredit it but because I also saw someone visit pershy N2 and who he visited N1. I made the assumption that player x was the same one that I saw and your player y saw, so I was extremely interested in your theory and what it could mean for who player x visited N1 (player z)
My own thoughts on player x's role was that he was a defender of some type, I had player z down as town so made the assumption that pershy was town as well. Your theory connected the dots better, but I struggled to believe that when player x visited a city he was presented with the scum in that city on platter. Seemed too OP to me.

So I did a quick search through Pretender, Jwied and Legionaire:

1. Pretender: I don't like how little he said while talking a lot early on and he felt a bit contradictory at points. He has also sheeped most bandwagons. However, he not only voted both scums but also suggested Zivel should daykill Mtam. Right now he is not at the top of my scum list.

2. Jwied: So not too much stood out to me. His post about the throne potentially still being scum night 2 stands out. It could very easily be innocent but it may be an attempt to discredit a seeming town role. The logic was solid in his reasoning so that is a major plus. He has been okay active but not super active. Not really quiet enough to be called full blown lurking. So a few small scum reads on him, higher than Pretender for me but still don't think he is the one to look at first.

3. Legionaire: Fished for Iron Throne info on flimsy reasoning. In hindsight, the Hotshot case was also reasonably flimsy. Voted Tam late after his fate was sealed. Then of course there was the whole Pershy case debacle with the misinterpretations that seemed blatantly done. The wording wasn't proper English grammar but it was easily understood by everyone else.

This:

"he visits the antitown themselves" would generally suggest that he meets the anti-town, if you meet someone you at least know who they are or even share few words with them.

Was just blatantly wrong. Visiting someone doesn't mean talking to them. You haven't been in too many games but from your intro I would think that you've been in enough to understand the difference between visiting and talking in mafia. Furthermore the timing of voting The Throne did not make sense to me.

I feel very confident in the Legionnare case.

I actually like this question from betiko, and it would have been interesting to work out what everyone said. I think that THIS question (unlike bunnies) could garner a lot of information:

I am a big fan of the show but never read the books.

I know AOG pretty well from the off topics and it s the first time I ever see him play mafia.
So AOG, do you know what you are doing or did you just sign up because it was game of thrones? Are you happy with the character you got or is it a crappy one?

I don't like the fact that Boone's read on bunnies is 100% different from mine, however being jokey and saying that she would answer to shebitch makes me think she's town:

And here's why. We don't know mafia win condition, nor other win conditions of roles.
For all we know, mafia might not have known there were cities. You coming out with that might have given them a ton of information.

However, easy newbie mistake, and I'll place you as town for it.

I don't like this as a first post. I think it's particularly the last portion of it, which seems like actively helping but it's just fluff. I also didn't like the bolded part. It feels like he had to edit what he was typing and that's why he ended up repeating himself:

I would be skeptical of trusting the people in your own groups too much. Say Kings Landing. Could have some good characters like Selmy or Sansa Stark, some third parties like Varys and Littlefinger and some evil characters like Cersei and Tywin. Just to name a few. Same goes with the Riverlands, the Riverlands could have Robb and Catelyn Stark but also potentially Roose Bolton and Walder Frey. In fact, it is possible that being part of one group doesn't prevent you from being part of another that some others in that group aren't (Cough mafia cough). So I guess what I am saying is that I am not sure what to do with the quicktopic groups or what significance they could have is yet. Obviously the people in my group know where I reside but until I have a better grasp on the nature of the groups, I am not going to say anything about where I am located and as someone just said while I was writing this...even this much may be too much information.

Beyond that, I am going to be a bit busier than I expected for the next few days and I am likely to go out of town entirely for a few days during the week of July 4th. For now, I should be able to post at least once every 24 hours.

Generally speaking, lurkers are more likely but I agree with what others have said about Storr's policies. Beyond that a lot of it depends on the actual player. Some are generally more quiet in general and some (like me) at least try to stay active and helpful regardless of alignment and game size.

Really this is the first time we have had this many players in a game for a while and it could be trouble keeping up with all of them. What I am suggesting is have each player watch each other. No two players will watch themselves as this should prevent mutual scummarining if they are mafia allies.
Anyways. This list isn't so that people focus in on investigating that one person. It is merely that you would be responsible for making sure that one person doesn't go inactive and note in thread if he does. To further prevent lying, the person above them could make sure that the person that they check is doing their due diligence in regards to making sure their target is staying active. As far as scumhunting, that is still up to everyone to do and not something to slack on by saying "well this person is checking on this person."

So I asked that question for the reason that I tend to disagree with that lurkers are more likely to be mafia. I find that mafia tend to be in the more active players, but then again, the night kills tend to tell whether or not its lurker mafia play or active mafia play, so I suppose we shall see.

As for the list, it could work, but it could also not work. Having to be accountable for one person in a huge game like this I believe takes away from reading outside of that next person. Therefore, I will not be using your list. Sorry, but not really.

Heh, is this information a bad thing? it's just as beneficial to town I'd say. Most people are in cities I would argue, based on the amount of people in my city and the amount of cities and players. I'd fos you, but putting someone as town despite a mistake is fairly unscummy, so I trust you. But I think general information isn't necessarily solely beneficial to the mafia

1. My voting on the Throne was me testing my own theory on the Throne's abilities. Namely that whoever sits on it games immunity and an extra vote in exchange for not being able to use their character abilities. OP IMO so I figured maybe if the Throne can vote can it also be voted upon as a weakness. Apparently can't.
2. Interest in the Throne? Other than my vote quote where I have fished for info on it. My only interest in it is it's defined abilities.
3. Vote on Mtam: plenty chucked their vote on at the end, it has also been floated that those that switched to NL after he called for it should FOS'd where's your interest in them?
4. "he visits the antitown themselves": as I have stated numerous times, I found it hard to believe that player x would hit scum everytime he went to a city, yes I bollocks up my reasoning.
5. My experience all but one of my games has been within the clan, this is my first big game within a range of experienced players in it. If I get flustered trying to get my point across then my bad, I just have to improve.
6. Hotshot was a non-case I never intended it to be serious, it was one comment which I never followed up on, Mtam was the one who called a good move...
7. No blatant misinterpretations from me, you think I'd be that stupid, yes I've made plenty of mistakes, where you a hotshot from the outset? I doubt it, everyone has a learning curve. I also have already admitted it was my mistake.

Heh, is this information a bad thing? it's just as beneficial to town I'd say. Most people are in cities I would argue, based on the amount of people in my city and the amount of cities and players. I'd fos you, but putting someone as town despite a mistake is fairly unscummy, so I trust you. But I think general information isn't necessarily solely beneficial to the mafia

1. My voting on the Throne was me testing my own theory on the Throne's abilities. Namely that whoever sits on it games immunity and an extra vote in exchange for not being able to use their character abilities. OP IMO so I figured maybe if the Throne can vote can it also be voted upon as a weakness. Apparently can't.
2. Interest in the Throne? Other than my vote quote where I have fished for info on it. My only interest in it is it's defined abilities.
3. Vote on Mtam: plenty chucked their vote on at the end, it has also been floated that those that switched to NL after he called for it should FOS'd where's your interest in them?
4. "he visits the antitown themselves": as I have stated numerous times, I found it hard to believe that player x would hit scum everytime he went to a city, yes I bollocks up my reasoning.
5. My experience all but one of my games has been within the clan, this is my first big game within a range of experienced players in it. If I get flustered trying to get my point across then my bad, I just have to improve.
6. Hotshot was a non-case I never intended it to be serious, it was one comment which I never followed up on, Mtam was the one who called a good move...

1. The timing seemed as odd as anything to me. I don't see why with the Throne currently seeming town and with cases being built reasonably late in the day, you would then decide to test it.
2. Day 1. You came up with convoluted reasoning on why it would be scum based on Betiko losing his vote and becoming vote immune.
3. I am looking at the big three that were mentioned in our thread. You, Pretender and Jwied. I'll look at others when I have more time for a full reread. Just because you weren't the only one doesn't make the fact any less present.

1. The case was already a certainty, my vote wasn't needed, so I decided to experiment for later use, if the scum do get their hands on the throne and my theory was right on it's abilities it would be handy to have a way of countering it.
2. It was my thinking at the time, plenty were thinking that Betiko could be scum at that point, I added that maybe he sat on the Throne and got immunity from it. Other people have said that he has the "treestump?" ability. I didn't know what that was at the time so disregarded it, evidently in error.

4. Blatant would suggest deliberate, which it certainly wasn't, which is just my viewpoint which can't be proved.

Legionare is the highest on my scum list right now. He tried everything he could against my pershy case (on my ipad, can t look back to verify but pretty sure he tried to make me claim who X and Y are.. Either him or zivel or both). Pershy was definitely something worth trying and he tried real hard.

Yes I twisted and turned your theory around, not because I was trying to discredit it but because I also saw someone visit pershy N2 and who he visited N1. I made the assumption that player x was the same one that I saw and your player y saw, so I was extremely interested in your theory and what it could mean for who player x visited N1 (player z)
My own thoughts on player x's role was that he was a defender of some type, I had player z down as town so made the assumption that pershy was town as well. Your theory connected the dots better, but I struggled to believe that when player x visited a city he was presented with the scum in that city on platter. Seemed too OP to me.

-are you claiming tracker or watcher? The way you phrase it, it sounds like a watcher then a tracker...
