Anyone here seen "The Legend of 1900"? That's my favorite movie.

I have not seen that movie, nor heard of it ;)

With regards to dub tracks- I 100% refuse to watch them. If there's no subs, I will FIND them. If the dvd wasn't made with them, I'll rip the DVD to my mac, find subs, hardcode them, and burn a new freaking dvd ;)

ps: my personal favorite movie is Brazil. I know a lot of people will disagree with me off the bat on that movie, but I couldn't possibly be more in love with a film

it's "Ms." rather than "Mr." I think

Anyway, as far as I can tell, that's Tony Leung [Chiu Wai] in the second pic.
Though still no idea, though I'm pretty certain that's not Red Cliff, so the only other ones I know are

Lust, Caution
2046
Infernal Affairs
In the Mood for Love

Not from those 4 films, but

Clue 4: it is Tony Leung,

Clue 5, with one of the most beautiful actresses in the world, and the same visual effect used in Clue 2:

It's a trilogy: Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance

Damnit!!!!!

I just watched this movie last freaking week!!!!!

Yeah, first time watching it and everything; unsure as to whether or not I'd be able to sit through it again (not 'sit through it again' like sitting through 'The Davinci Code' again; as in watching... er... well as of right now it's pretty much in a category by itself :-s ), but overall a pretty decent flick.

Demonfork, we seem to be into/at least have watched the same movies.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you've seen 'Persona'- what did you think? (Obviously, anyone else is free to respond to this!). I'll wait for others before I comment O:)

(On an interesting note- perhaps a good 'Movie Discussion' thread needs to be started. One could make the case for simply starting threads in the cinemaddicts, but that group is deader than Chevy Chase's career.)

I'm hurt by that comment, but I know it's gotten slow in there. I'd try to think of ways to liven it up, but I've been busy

Don't take it personally! It's pretty much how most usergroups are... They have a big boom when they first start, then slow down BIG time. I've tried doing pretty extensive work to bring other groups back to life, and it just doesn't work :(

I have an interesting idea, but I'll PM you as this thread is not the place for it ;)

Persona is a masterpiece, as are most of Bergmans films. It's amazing to watch a film like this and then realize that so many directors have been influenced by it, David Lynch especially. Some of my favorite aspects of Persona are the dream sequences and the surrealist nature of the film, you are never sure if some of the scenes actually "happened' or if they were just a dream.
