this is an idea i thought would be cool. not sure if the gameplay is ok, especially the bonuses.
its not all luck, because there are no bonuses until the red circle, so you will need to build up. if you're lucky, you can get up to the yellow circle on the first turn, but then you're at all ones with a total of 21 neutrals still to go. (the black numbers are the number of neutrals starting on that circle)

things to know:
72 territories
8 bonus regions
only one starting point no matter how many players.
+1 autodeploy on starting points?

say what you want, and i will try to do it to the best of my abilities.

Isn't this essentially 8 Thoughts, with a few bonus tweaks?

I don't think it's like either of those two maps at all.

I don't like the map though. It's symmetrical which doesn't usually work. It also seems lacking in strategy. Get to the red section first and win/conquer your neighbours.

To me it looks like a combination of 8 thoughts and CC archery, but I do have an idea, while your at it throw in maze craze and Das Schloss(B):D

basically for my idea, you could have each person starting at their own territory that cant be attack by anybody (Das Schloss(B)), and they each have different confusing mazes to get to the center, where you could like have to hold the big red circle, which could be like 4 or 6 territs, and there could be a couple of killer neutral maze walls (maze craze) that could let you get into other peoples maze path. There could also be some 'teleporter' territs, that you could use to attack other teleporter territs, which could be in other maze paths. So yea rough idea that i came up with while typing :D

i'll try that, and see if it comes with any better responses...

...or you could change the map entirely. As it stands, it's symmetrical. Symmetry is a bad game for a game of chance like CC, as crappy dice rolls mean instant loss. I don't think the circles thing is a problem, nor the single starting territory. What I think you need to do is alter how the circles line up a lot. Have impassables, sure, but make them oddly spaced, and have more than one territory between impassables on the same circle. As soon as you drop symmetry and make the map look "weird", it'll be more playable and more fun.
