Things are moving along a bit, although part of me would really like to see you pushing your effort into something that will give you an easier ride through the foundry. You obviously have commitment and enthusiasm - right now though, the scope and appeal of this map may be too limited for a first-time mapmaker.
Well, I've always enjoyed a challenge.

Let's see if we can think of a killer idea for something that will help you to hit the ground running...
By all means, if you have any suggestions for a map idea that would be awesome even in the eyes of the foundry staff

However, there's very little you can't find from the internet

I can't help but think that this idea might be best put to one side for now - although there's nothing to say that once you've got more experience under your belt you couldn't come back to it
I have considered it, but seems like every time I've thought about putting this project to rest or on vacation, somewhere comes along someone who tells me how much he likes this map and would like to see it done. Most recent example, MeanestBossEver who suddenly appeared on the thread announcing he had been lurking and following the thread from the beginning and couldn't wait for the map to be finished. Then I always get the feeling, I don't want to disappoint these people, so I keep going...
Then again it get that it might be presumptuous of me to expect that my first map attempt would fly right through the foundry process. I get the concerns of not enough support for the map, or the subject being interesting for too small a group of people. However, I think if we can develop a solid and unique gameplay, it might attract people to the map that wouldn't be interested about the subject of the map as such. After all, maps are made to be played...
I'll catch up with you in due course
Looking forward to it as always.

Thanks. It means a lot to hear that from one of the most experienced / succesful mapmakers.
