As lack said, if you want to test, you can print it and play in real life with your friends. What Im worried about is, any piece of shit that get alive never is taken back. Is there really any fan of Indochina map, someone that would complain if we remove it? But when it would be done? I believe that if you guys think is a good idea, you all can test it in real life, and see how annoying this thing will possibly be. No need to put it alive here before, so if it has 1 vote in a poll of favourite maps, "ah, someone enjoy it, we cant remove!"

My goal is not offend anyone, but I really imagine this will be a terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE map, and maybe you can see it before its done and alive to no more die. If you test it and its great, well, I agree about have it here.

If someone rates it as their favorite map, that seems like an excellent reason not to remove it. Having an extra map on the site certainly doesn't hurt anyone, and if it's making somebody that happy to have it here, why would you want to take it away?

Would really be good? So we should have 2500 maps, one to each active player, shouldnt we? Nah, I believe he should have no maps to be used this way. "Hmmm, lack, no one likes the map me and my 2 friends designed, could we still use your site to play it?" As I dislike the Ireland map, I will edit it, and it will be a variation to be only used by me. Is this a good idea?

you could just amke it (with a bit of difficulty) so that beside each persons name it says what continents they have- i dont know if that would be possible but i though id suggest it

Aww cant you write a script that gives me red blue green cards every time please? I could do with it at the moment. 8)

This map looks interesting, maybe I'll give it one or two plays like the Circus Maximus map, definetely interesting.

I like the idea but I am pretty sure that a keyboard map was already suggested. I dont know if that person ever followed through with it.

I think stick up an image and a word list, and then we can work on it...

Will you print it and try play it in real life? I really hate the idea. Cant you see how bad is this "continent-word" thing? I believe not, so a test would be good. Maybe you can see that Im wrong too... No one interested in test it before?

Thanks Mach, you're the closest thing to a friend I've ever had.

Anyway back to the map discussion.

Printing it out and actually playing it doesn't seem like a great idea because then you have to go through the trouble of calculating every word everyone had each turn. If you set it up on the computer at least that work would be done for you (and correct) each time.

I think this is the point that Marv is trying to make.

He is saying that it would be to coimplicated.

Although I'm not sure I agree

Yeah, complicated, but necessary to plan your moves... Should you need to check how many words the enemy would have each turn, or which letter you should take to make the bigger damage? THIS is terrible.

After hearing the discussions, perhaps the safest route to consider is sticking with traditional key groupings (or some kind of collection) or limiting the amount of words. I know it may not be as fancy and as neat as an idea, but it sure seems like it would be tedious, though interesting gameplay. Perhaps using a similar idea to the Space Map/Crossword...you could for example have:
    QWERTY
    ASD
You could either own the perhaps harder to keep but larger bonus Qwerty, or the smaller Wasd. Or perhaps you could have the 'Home Row' (ASDFGHJKL) be one also. It'd be hideously hard to keep, depending on how the other keys are divided.

As for other key groupings if you did end up going this route:
--Home Row
--Gamer (If you used a keyboard as opposed to type writer, Arrow keys(or wasd) and perhaps space bar, along with maybe a shift key/ctrl.)
--The ones listed above...

I'm starting to ramble now.

Maybe looking into variants of qwerty (see here). Or perhaps pick a few CC-esque words and simply eliminate the other keys not needed (make then just background, and not apart of the game field). All of this is still a bit difficult. Good luck trying whatever you do.

i love the idea. but it seems to me like it would turn out like the crossword map (rarely played) also. random risk-related words probably won't make good continents either.

Just a preliminary concept of what the map might look like, its a more traditional format

Its around 40 countries, w/ 7 continents, i'll probly combine some keys to make it 35 or so countries

I was thinking i could have little lightning bolts or something similar for boundaries

(i know, its a terrible drawing, i did it in 10 minutes, and its around 100 in New York and i used Paint)
