1) Not all small maps are identical. Yes, they all have classic gameplay. This does not mean they have identical strategies. Because of different continent and territory layouts, they are different in strategy. For someone like me who only plays classic gameplay maps, these seemingly small differences stand out more.

2) You ignored my point about how developing a small map =/= not developing a large map. If you're so desperate for larger maps, then you should make them! I don't mean to sound mean, but there's no reason to derail someone else's map because you'd rather see a larger one. There's no reason that both this small map AND a larger one can be quenched. They're not mutually exclusive - they're not exclusive at all!

i'm not talking about 1 or 2 or 3 maps, i'm talking about 11, which is still about 14% of the maps. and they are pretty much the same style and gameplay. and you have a lot of classic maps to choose from already.

and no, i didn't ignore that fact, i just don't think this website needs another small classic map. as 14% of the maps already is classic small (maybe even more) and i'm not even talking about the classic medium maps, which might even be more! the page is already full of maps and most people only play a handfull of them. (i think there should be some option to only show a list of 'favorites' which you can select in your control panel of profile or something, i think this has been suggested before btw)

and i don't mean to be mean either, i just think he could better put his energy in a larger map, or an original map. he hasn't really started on this map yet so there is no loss in abondoning it. if he would have been in the FF already i would have ignored this topic, but since he's not even in adv. idea status i think i should tell him he'd be better of putting his energy in adding someting new to the website instead of giving us more of the same.

besides, at some given point some maps will not get any more support because basicly there is hardly any more interested in them. i think this is one example of that. some maps just don't really add anything new or meaningful to the site and i don't think this map will stand out in any way at all. and not even good graphics could make up for that, not even if he would have graphics simular to iceland. he'd be better off putting his energy in a stunning map gameplay wise, then trying to put all his energy in a map simular to what we have already.

I see your point. Though I still personally disagree with it, arguing here won't really do anyone any good. It appears the mapmaker has already decided to abandon this, so this conversation is fruitless. Oh well.

well maybe on a later time he might decide to continue this, but for now he shouldn't really waste his energy on it, the map will most likely not even stand out right now, it would be a pity of all the hard work.

considering what you've all said, i'm going to stick with it, i think that this map (although being small) has a style and theme that is much different from the other "small" maps. i agree with ZeakCytho. any other people who have support like him, please c'mon up and support please.

I like the point version, but i would change green to 2 because it's easily defendable
the map however, is in need of help
making it smaller should help

What is Easter Island famous for? It's statues. Where are they?

I'm sure you can do a lot better than this.
Which I think he acknowleged in his post.

I think incorporating the statues is a good idea. I don't know much about Easter Island but I'd love to learn while playing a map!

As I said before, I like more territories. But that is a personal preference. I do worry that maps on the doodle earth scale have a limited demand. What I mean that is a few will be very popular, but more than a few will see popularity flatten out. Not sure if this is correct and there is only one way to find out. But just a thought to consider as you decide on scale and gameplay details.

I think to add territories and incorporate statues you should make statues territories!
