i had spaghetti for dinner earlier tonight.

maybe it can be like... an international buffet theme... then we could make it a big map, with chopsticks and curry and whatever the hell else is eaten around the world

Hmmm that's a good idea too....

Now we just have to get the creators involved!!! We've basically made a new map...

Me either, I just like to help. You should probably learn how to do it, and then I can tell you what to do? This is fun...

Well, there are several abstract maps out there already -- Chinese Checkers, Conquer Man, CCU, the racetrack one, 8 thoughts, etc.. You play any of those? I don't mind abstract maps myself ... I play chess after all ... as long as they provide enough territory.

I would rather play on this map than a lot of smaller maps that make luck too significant a factor.

Anyhow, my son Sensfan and I have had a lot of fun making this so far. Anyone with constructive feedback?

I too have my concerns about the theme of this map, but by all means go ahead with production. This looks like the kind of map I'd play once, but probably not twice.

Graphics wise, the top-down view of the pizza contrasting with the side view of the soda is quite jarring. Either make the soda's bird's-eye, or maybe make them at a 75 degree inclination so you can see the side of the cup. Whatever you do, make the pizzas appear from the same point of view as the sodas do, whether it's top-down or at some angle.

I'm new to the site, but am going to play every map once. I am playing my first(probably last) games of CCU and Conquer Man now.

However, It may just be me. And I'm only trying to help!

I realize too that I brought up the angles myself, but that is just because this is a draft, correct?

With a small map it's hard to be too picky... :)

My father and I can't find a way to make the colas on a different angle.
Besides, the colas would look very silly.

i think the 2 colas bonus should be removed too easy. Did you think of creating an objective for the map like "Complete an order- Olives Pizza and Mushrooms + 3 colas" or something like that

Heres my list of suggestion.

-OL4 need to be removed instead of one of the others.

- Make all slices attack the opposite slice. + The slices they border of sides ofc.

Example: (forsliced pizza)

Code: Select all
_|_
  |

And i think you can add to the table. Spices, creating a region and less symitrical.

THe Middlepizza need impassibles to many borders.

Make some large slices in some of the pizza's will look good exsample: makeing the whole pizza in the corner into 4 large slices.

Try adding something other around the table to.

i don't like what you did for the "impassables" because they're all on the outside parts of the map, put a couple on that cheese pizza so that it can't connect to every single other pizza with every single slice

i think the map needs some impassables now on the full pizzas i don't know what you could use but before that attack routes need to be decided. Can you only attack pizza slice either side or opposite slices as well i would recommend the 2nd option as it will make creating impassables easier. The table looks too bare as well maybe you could use Androidz's suggestion. You need a cool sig.

You could put one of those little plastic "tables in the center of the pizza(you know what I'm talking about right? For delivery...). This way slices could only attack side by side.

You could use breadsticks for attack routes too.

This is one of the maps that people would play a few times, and then rarely play again. It's long lasting legacy feels nonexistent.

true, but some people would love it and play it and noob farm on it for the rest of eternity, so who's to discourage him/her from continuing?

I'm with Andy on this one. SO FAR it's going to be the next Conquer Man. But that's not to say that we can't remidy that.

The reason conquerman doesn't get played that much is because of the overload on greasemonkey. I think this map could be great, but at a pizza party there are usually people, and people have some pieces on their own plates.
