That would be a 6 territory map, not fun at all. We do have Battle Royales from time to time, with 1 territory per player but on a larger scale.

It seems that everyone wants to see a fresh idea that is not a geological part of this world. What if we made a map that was from the Star Trek universe. All of the empires and nations would make great continents. Here is a link to the map that gave me the idea:

http://www.variantbank.org/results/rules/s/startrekdip.gif

This map is based on an entirely different boardgame, but it could be a good Risk map if it was modified. I would do it, but I do not have the time/skill/resources to do it.

As I said, it is based on another boardgame and needs to be modified if it is to work. This is just something to work off of.

Well, people seem to be in a love/hate relationship with my Dante's Inferno map idea.. I had originally just wanted to start it out as Hell, so I've actually thought about trying to develop a Heaven Vs Hell map. Any takers?

Not really. They would be quite different. The Monty Python and the Holy Grail would have places like the castle Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh, and Camalot, ect.

And ofcourse, my personal favorite, the castle Anthrax.

Dingo: Oh, wicked, bad, naughty, *evil* Zoot! She is a*naughty* person...
and she must pay the penalty! And here in Castle Anthrax, we
have but one punishment for setting alight the grail-shaped
beacon: You must tie her down on a bed, and *spank* her.

Others: A spanking, a spanking!!!

Dingo: You must spank her well, and after you have spanked her, you may
deal with her as you like. And then...... spank me!

Others: And spank me! And me! And me! And me!

Dingo: Yes, you must give us all a good spanking!!

Others: A spanking, a spanking, there's going to be a spanking tonight!!!!!

Dingo: ...and after the spanking.... the Oral Sex!!

Others: (amid squeals of delight) The oral sex, the oral sex!!!

Galahad: Well, I could stay a *bit* longer...

Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

Hopefully someone has read the Pern books, because I think that would be an awsome map. I personally don't think I have the skills for it...

The other promising thing about Pern is that Anne McCaffrey has allowed essentially unlimited fan-use of her world, map, characters, etc.

What about a Human Skeleton?

Different continents would be

123456789Skull
12345678901|
Right Arm - Chest - Left Arm
12345678901|
Left Leg - Pelvis - Right Leg

Bonuses would be similar too 2 for arm, 3 for leg & skull, 5 for Pelvis and 7 for Chest.

With each country being a bones...

i.e. arm would be
12345678901Radius12345678Fingers
Humurous =1234567=Palm = 123|
12345678901Ulna1234567890Thumb

Could be expanded to World 2.0 by having the really small bones down to each finger etc?

Could lead to all kinds of humour in the chat...

i.e. "That turn cost me an arm and a leg!!"

C.

PS Note I don't know what the bones are called in the Palm (possibly carpals and fingers meta carpals?!) (Bugger knows what a thumb is... probably the same!)

I started on a Baltic States map, what's unique is it only has three continents. It'll probably be quite the lead balloon but you never know.
ImageChildren, this is what happens to hockey players, druggies, and Hillary Clinton.

Rope. Tree. Hillary. Some assembly required.
