It would be to hard to hold a planet if you could stargate planet to planet.
I don't like the idea of wormhols, and it would kind of loose the point of high neutrals.

I think if you use high neutrals on the planets to make it would make it harder to take the planets through the worm holes, star gates or whatever you use. Then again you don't have to use the "star gates' to get from planet to planet. You can use them to get from one spot to another, like from point A in space to point B in space or Point A in space to a planet. Do something like that and it would make it a little more interesting .

How about I leave the size of the map the same.
And I can ad some wormholes.
Not sure how 1 big sun, 4 wormholes, 8 planets, & 12 meteor rocks, (25 in all) would fit in the map any smaller.

Wouldn't space stations work better than "meteor rocks"?

Thats a good idea. I can't do that type of graphics though, so I'd need someone to do the space stations for me.

Now that's not the right attitude... If you let other people do the work for you, you'll never learn.

Don't worry if it's crappy at first, you'll get better eventually, and you have lots of time to hone it to perfection during the time your map spends in the foundry.

I don't even think the program I'm using can do it. I'll try it some.
Any volunteers would be great.

Get a proper graphics software.

Why? GIMP and Paint.Net are free and can be loaded from the internet.

Minor quibble...

You spelled "lose" as "loose"
Other than that it looks pretty cool.

I'll try one of those, thanks.

I like the new neutral arrangement, it seems much better.

Are you dead set on making the map this big? Maybe shave off a few rows and columns? It's not a disaster as it is, but I still think that you'll have a better chance of advancing this map if it were a bit smaller.

Yeah, I'm thinking about making it a couple rows smaller.Who also thinks it should be smaller?

Maybe you should replace your poll with one that asks about the map size? With choices like, "It's fine," "Make it a little smaller," "Cut it in half," "It's way too huge! Cut it to a quarter".

Thomassaurus,

I need to know what graphics software you're using.

This map has support and a viable idea, but it needs some promise of good graphics to continue.

For starters, much is pixelated with this map. Start with large, quality images and shrink them down. The stars are too busy, try less of them, get a new image.

Once I know what you're working with I can help more.

I need to know what graphics software you're using.

I'm using flash MX, but only for the sun, & instructions. everything else is done with another program to stick all the images together.

Start with large, quality images and shrink them down.

I'm doing this but it looks pixelated around the edges of some of the objects because I have to change the backgrounds of each object.

Get GIMP, paint.net or somehow get a copy of photoshop, the last of which I prefer. I'm sure they do some free trials, or you could borrow a friends or something.

I have to agree, especially because Foundry regulations explicitly state you cannot make a map with Paint, you must use some image software of actual capability, most of which Helix has been so kind to note to you.

Ok. are paint.net or gimp good enough, or I can use photoshop if you strongly suggest it.
