for my ice thing? i think you're right.Jota wrote:I agree with grim about the picture. Would you mind at least switching that from an image tag to a url tag, Rulic?
Oh, and images like the ones grim posted would probably make for a nice background texture.
I actually think i have a separate layer for my borders.rocksolid wrote:Hey Kyle,
For smoothing the lines using Gimp - can't remember if this is what I did but I think it worked for me.
Select all your borders - try doing a select by colour on black, hopefully your text is in a different layer so it won't pick that up - copy then paste as a new layer, use one of the blur filters (like Gaussian blur), then play with the levels on that new layer so all the greys become full black. Pm me if you need to.
I actually like the rain pattern on the background but if people think that that isn't good, i will attempt to change itMarvaddin wrote:And I dislike the background. The continent seems to be in the rain
, can you pinpoint specific poinst and i could try to fix them by hand?rocksolid wrote:Don't think the blur quite worked - borders are still cornery. The layers can get stupid sometimes - try it again but before doing so do "layer to image size" on the borders layer.
thatswhat i've been trying. I cant find an image i want to use though.haha wrote:for the bondrys or what ever there called u could have mealting ice burgs
Yes it is, Someone mentiioned it in the forum but its really the only logical way to divide antarctica.NightWolf wrote:are those territories divided based on who owns what parts of Antartica? If that is the case, whoever it is that thought that up has got to be AWESOME! i would help with the idea if i knew more about this map making stuff but my knowledge on it is too vague
