Looks good to me... but you will need permission from the original map maker...

Just be prepared that once this eventually gets quenched, it might get a bad reception from the greater CC community, as a lot of people don't like any change, even if it is good change.

I don't see anything wrong with your new version, but then again, I don't see that the existing map really is in need of a revamp. The two maps have different styles, but I don't think that either one is miles better than the other. And the details yet to be added to the new map (title, font, legends, bridges, other decorations if any) would make a big difference in the final assessment. Wisely, you have kept at least roughly the same colours for the bonus zones, which will help to ease the transition for those accustomed to the old map. I guess the question to be asked right now is whether the community would appreciate a revamp. You could add a poll, but getting a wide response base is tough, unless you spam a lot of users who play the map now.

It looks better IMO.

Maybe with the revamp an idea of creating strategy points in it? So that it wouldn't be only a graphic revamp, but also new things on it.

I.E.: Harbor attack routes from Rotterdam, Delfzijl and Amsterdam. And maybe Terneuzen?

Again, great graphics, lone =D>

I actually like the current map more. Nothing wrong with it in my eyes.

I don't think you need army circles. The colors are perfectly light by themselves.
Also, I like this, and I like the current one. Once you decide what you are doing with the legend space then it will probably be clear which one is better.

the sea needs to be darker, maybe more green, the borders look fine, but maybe a little bit thicker might even look better (and they don't seem to be equal in thickness everywhere, but that might just be me), and if you turn the yellow region white and the blue region a bit more dark, then it will look a bit like a dutch flag.

there could also be a bit more difference in color between zeeland and holland, same counts for de wadden en noord-nederland, maybe it's an idea to swap the colors of de wadden with the colors of holland

Can you put the current version in the first post, so people don't have to keep going back and fourth when comparing them?
