Is it a suggestion that a private social clan can be established who's private board will take over the flame function? that way only people whom have actually joined will be able to flame.

Apparently they were... because a whole lot of people are excited about the demise of Flame Wars... a forum that they were not ever forced to read and could have avoided with ease.

Check this thread out, FLAMING is allowed by those who are all too happy to get rid of FLAME WARS. It's a question of fairness.

Actually, you got that wrong, dude.

Flaming is now disallowed completely on this site.

This is an excellent decision, and the vast majority of CC members back it wholeheartedly.

THANK YOU, CC Administration!

Yes Klobber, we know where you stand on this issue. It's the same old, same old from you. You don't bring anything to the table, but to "parrot" the views of the administrators.

According to Hyasri:

"...We have given this a lot of thought and consideration and agree that Flame Wars no longer fits into the future vision for the site. It was becoming more clear that the flames were spilling out of that forum and taking up more moderation time to sort out.

We were also concerned about the unfriendly atmosphere this was generating for new people...."

So, you think that the problem with the Flame Wars forum was not actually the Flame Wars forum; rather, it was the flames taking place outside of the Flame Wars forum. And that this was an administrative burden on the mods because they had to regulate flames taking place outside of the Flame Wars forum. What exactly is solved by eliminating the Flame Wars forum? Won't there be more flames taking place outside of the Flame Wars forum if there is no Flame Wars forum? Will eliminating the Flame Wars forum stop people from flaming others in other forums or within games?

The answers to these three questions are "None," "Yes," and "No."

The need of today's Moderators to "control" discussions and to stop the criticism of these administrators is the key of why they no longer want FLAME WARS.

Of course, those who profess hatred of FLAME WARS is allowed to FLAME and STALK those who believe in having FLAME WARS.

These silly arguments by administrators and their cyberspace thugs is that they want to bring civility back to the forums, ring hallow.

I really think that the CC Administrators are serious about their new policy on flamers on this site. I also think that those who persist will eventually disappear (either by their own free will, or by force), as they should have done years ago. That's why I'm so happy with this decision -- I never liked the fact that there were so many out-of-control flamers here (some of them were even site moderators). It gave the site a bad image, but this is the beginning of a new era for Conquer Club, one in which civilized adult human beings can feel safe from the influence of such unfortunate, mod edit

Is this not a flame? Is this not a flame that has occurred outside of the Flame Wars Forum? Surely, the administrators will be burdened prosecuting you.

It's a waste of time for me to attempt to convince someone who does not heed reason or logic. Fortunately, I have a lot of time to waste.

nah...I don't think so....I think that the admins thought that remove Flame wars was good for the site image,to project a gentler style in the site. But they didn't realiced that flame wars isn't just bad words and hate, but a place where you can insult intelligently, not neccesary motivated by angry, but a place to be pernicious and eschatological...now...i think that it's gonna be flame wars everywhere (as in this post for example), all a lil' messy (not all the flames in just one place), but with the usual animosity....I doubt they gonna ban people for say..."hey Klobber..Do you still love nature, despite what it did to you?" or that kind of stuff....even that non-classy-at-all flamewise as "animal-minded individuals"...it's just a semantic issue...
