Extreme - well yes actually Poison Rome and 1982 on FT are pretty hard to beat without knowing them well

Respect to all sober mods who are varying it up and playing simple maps

Agreed drunk pal - 2014 is one of my winning maps but my main one Eurasia played none and offered Arms Race and Feudals as suggestions to various mods as played those mods before on them with 50/50 odds
If you really want to whine take me on Eurasia NSP fog 5 times and I will wipe your sorry inebriated ass all over the floor

As fer Razor - pah he just loves to help me - our bromance is legendary

I had other people tell me the same in PM. Personally I feel like 1982 doubles fog trench plays like any normal map, with slightly more neutrals which are only 2. The airplanes dont really come into play in a normal game. Poison Rome is very hard to read the first time, but panel interface helps with that. I understand why people would stay away from that, and I only played it once due to that.

I guess this is down to who you think this is for - I think it's for the regular punters not the mods - so a narrow field of play with the idea of mods winning it is a bit naff to me - but hey I am sitting on the non mod side of the fence so I would

Are you calling me drunk but you think I'm a mod? Also you wouldn't beat me best of five on Eurasia. Funny how you offered me out on your settings, just like you're complaining about mods doing here.

Also, really cool to see some new maps up. Well, one new map. I'd join, but that "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" thing honestly looks quite dreadful. And that's just the grammar. Don't get me started on the map :D

If you care so much about grammar you shouldn't start a sentence with "and".

Let me know some maps and settings you like, and I'll send you a couple games.

No speed, no freestyle, no zombies, and no giant maps that won't fit on one screen. No Hive, ever. Other than that, I'm okay with almost anything.

Please don't think IAC that in suggesting you are drunk I think you have a drink problem - just struggling to get the level of feeling in your posts if you weren't drunk - I am thinking so as surely no sober person would get off on it so much - and if you arent a mod?? Why even more LOL?

Have a think before you write maybe?

It is true isn't it that the mods choose the games?
it is true that some have picked quite specific maps while others are offering a broad sweep isn't it?
There is an advantage in that isn't there?

One guy has chosen dozens of All your base maps - is that ok?
Is Poison rome a favourite of most of us?

Now I guess we can opt in to whatever we want but as some have said there is little choice.

I love this competition overall - just think the scoring and set up needs working on maybe

I wouldn't say starting a load of AYBABTU games is in the spirit of the competition as such, but on the other hand this was originally conducted as a much bigger contest between mods and users and the fight for success was fought harder than it is now. I just found it a little ridiculous you were complaining when you'd played 26 games and nearly all were on maps you play regularly.

From now on the Special event banners, like the one for Whac-a-Mod should just have a single link to a page that looks either like a normal 'Join Games' page or a Game Finder results page.
That way, players won't have to join games blind or waste time looking them up on a separate page before returning to the banner.
Also there will be less chance of clicking on a game that is already full.
Just had a run-in with a slimeball player (tak) that was taking advantage of the awkward banner link set-up.

I actually (almost fully) agree with Thourth on this one. The banner is clearly an implementation copied from an 1800s town advertisement and functions like shit. Something similar to how the challenges work should be set up, even if it's just a link that automatically runs the game finder for you. Even better would be similar to the auto-tournaments showing open games instead of active / finished.

Again maybe have a closer look before shouting

i am playing/ have played 26 games on 11 seperate maps? I can't create them so either suggest or just choose them
Only 2 of those games I am specialised on 2014 WC and Razor is one and it's his map too

Extreme Ways has 18 games on 5 maps - 15 of these are fog trench which he can choose and I assume has learnt well
Keefie 41 games 6 maps
Mad777 41 games 5 maps
shoop 76 39 games 5 maps
and so on

I think it's a fair request to get folks to mix it up a bit more so it's a more level playing field

I have 20 games on 5 maps, of which 15 are fog trench. Of those 5 non trench, 3 were non trench by request. If I'm going to commit 20-30 minutes (in doubles) to play WAM games, I might as well do so on settings I enjoy. I really dont think you can say I shouldnt be playing the majority of my games (12/20) on Malta. Of course I have an advantage since I kinda know how it's played in trench, but any good player that has played trench before can match this.

Get your number correct please, out of my 41 games there is 12 different map ;)

Speaking about WaM game, and for those who want some speed, I plan on running some "Mad Speeder" from 16:00 - 16:30....until 18:00 if my work schedule allows me to do it, I should have more time Saturday as well to get some speed game out.

Thanks to the mods for running this, I've been around since the first and always enjoy a good whac!
I need a few more games to get to 20. If any mods could help me out with an invite that'd be great. I'll play any map, but prefer small- medium size ones. I like poly but don't need it, and don't like freestyle.
Thanks to anyone who can help out.
