The only time I take my watch off is for a shower. I even sleep with it on. I have one watch for work and 2 watches for social occasions. One of those is a half hunter which is the cause of more conversations than pulling a mobile out of my pocket.

And even though the time is displayed in the corner of the screen I am looking at now, I still look at my watch.

Don't need a watch because of my cell phone

I was just realizing the same thing about cell phones replacing watches... wonder how the watch industry is doing...

Yeah, the watch is becoming a little outdated, but it will never go obsolete (at least not for a very long time) because there will still, for example, be soldiers needing tactical equipment to tell the time, and the easiest way to do this is to put it on the wrist. And might as well throw in some GPS locators too.

Just a few weeks ago there was a little spot on the news here in Utah about a couple of watch stores that were suffering big time because everyone was just using their cell phones instead.

I used to wear them. They always seem to short out after a month or so, so I quit wasting my money on them. I am looking for a good pocket watch to see if those last longer. Haven't found one with a design I really like yet.

I don't where a watch but I know how you feel. I have a racketball (or many of them) and I'll keep one in the pocket of my shorts everywhere I go. I'll bounce it around when I'm walking and such. I've kept one with me for about 2 years and about 3 months or so. Like you, the only time I take it off is when I'm in the bed. (Racketball in pocket is NOT comfortable to sleep on) Whenever I leave without it, I don't feel the same. The last time I forgot it I remember feeling weird and watching to go home to get it. yea.

Though, I don't have a cell phone either, but then again. I don't need a cell phone or watch much if I'm always next to the computer. ;) :D
