Nah...you ain't a Deist. You are an Iswasatist.

You believe in the great Iswasat, the all powerful Uber Entity of the entire cosmos.

The Iswasat can be broken down into three specific entities (much like the Christian Trinity). The IS, which is your present manifest reality. The WAS, which is your past manifested reality. And, the AT, which is your future manifesting realities. All three of these concepts merge into one eternal quantum now and become the Great Iswasat.

And from the Iswasat sprang a small reflection of itself in the form of a particle consisting of three inherent principles: Vacuum, Impulse, and Parallel Force. Or better known as the Very Important Particle (or VIP for short).

These VIPs emerge faster than our human perspective of light, and therefore, are able to exist in multiple locations all at the same time without even leaving their position (which would be at the point of the Big Bang, which wasn't a BANG but a simple twinkling of energy reflected upon itself--called quantum feedback).

The process of existence occurs within an instant of expansion and contraction of these VIPs. We actually exist BOTH within a huge Black Hole and White Hole at the same time!

The Iswasat reins SUPREME!!!!

Ah, so this is how a new religion is born.

Hmm, you know, if we get in on this early there might be big bucks to be made here.

All, hail the almighty Iswasat (wait, does it like to be praised? )

But, if this belief has already spread enough to warrant a name, wouldn't it constitute a religion? (I dozed of during the Sociology of Religion class in which the term "Religion" has been defined.  ).

How about: an individual who believes in the existence of God? No label, just a description.

Unitarians might welcome you into their "fold", if it interests you. "Agnostic" might fit if you question it all. Else, why worry about labels? You are what you are, you believe what you believe. If you have questions... seek answers.

Faith rarely stays the same, even for those who do follow a particular religion or branch.

For that answer, look into the Church of Elvis (really exists!).

Or you could try reading L Ron Hubbard : )

"Diesm"/"Diest", etc are labels, unless and until a group forms with similar ideas (no matter how broad).

Seriously? I thought they were the same just spelt differently. #-o

What's the difference? :?

Gnosticism is an early sect that was pronounced heretical by the early church. They are a prime reason often cited for cannonizing the Bible as we now know it. The Divinci Code actually borrows a lot of their ideas/beliefs. They were very popular at one time and might have survived (as a religion), except that they also taught celibacy, which somehow, is not terribly condusive to growth.

Agnostic, as was already pointed out, means someone who questions religion, who expresses doubts about whether God exists, etc. - though in some cases, it is used to mean someone who questions a particular faith, (particularly Christianity)

Deism
Deist
D-e-i, the first three letters of both words are in alphabetical order, do not mix the concept up with diets.

With friendly greetings from the S&GN.

If it does, then it wouldn't hurt. Maybe just stick in a porno and jerk off. Put your sperm in the microwave, and give it up as an offering. Meanwhile, you need to wear a funny hat...like one of those beer hats with the straw tubes.
