I don't know if there's anyone out there who does what we Brits call "freeform" gaming, which you call in the US "LARP" (but without the rubber swords).
I'm going to a weekend-long game in Timonium (North of Baltimore) on the 19th September, my wife is going too, and for the first time our kids are involved. This game features characters from lots of famous musicals, and looks to be great fun. Mrs Curl is playing the Salvation Army lady from Guys and Dolls, my daughter is Annie, I'm he pop-star's manager from Bye Bye Birdie, and my son is brainy kid from the same movie.
These sorts of games are great fun, especially weekend-long ones like this one. In the past I've been Falstaff, the Scarlet Pimpernel, the court poet from the Arabian Nights, Gerge Bernard Shaw and lots of others.
Those of you who have done this sort of stuff before or who would like to try it might be interested to know about this game. I know that there are a number of fairly vital parts open due to people dropping out. PM me if you want more details, I don't want to turn this into an advert.
