I just spent two hours filling out an application to San Diego State University only to have my application flat out rejected because I'm taking 3 classes at a community college.

I fucking hate California.

University of Washington, Colorado University at Boulder, Oregon State University, and I've been accepted to University of Arizona.

At least it was good practice at filling out the applications.

I remember having to do that, man. I spent days on some of my apps (well, the essays really), only to get rejected from a bunch of schools.

So, really, this was a good thing for you. Rejection is a good thing. Remember that. It toughens you up, and prepares you for your success.

So hang in there, and keep going with the applications. Keep up the good work.

No, they didn't even review it. I was submitting it and the website told me it couldn't accept the application because I'm neither a first-time freshman (thanks to community college) nor do I have 60 semester credits.

It's a rolling board, an easy application, and my SAT scores were pretty much amazing.

Hey, I wouldn't be thinking too much about a California school if I were you. I would move out of the state. One of the highest taxed states in the union, the state is about to go bankrupt, and it is a sitting duck for a massive earthquake. Get out while you can.

I'm actually in Oregon, and I was only applying to California schools because I needed filler space for the 5 colleges I need to apply to for my NROTC scholarship.

To the OP, go to University of NM. Great weather and freaking cheap tuition. If you are going military, you don't need to pay what CU or another school will charge. I went to UNM, I think tuition now is about 1500 a semester. ALbuquerque is a pretty cool place too.

Well, the NROTC scholarship is for $150,000, including everything but room and board, and a monthly stipend of about $300 for the first year, so money's not a huge concern for me.

Good luck! I love going down there to use their library. Steer clear of El Cajon Boulevard if you do end up going there. The further east you go from campus the less the rents if you decide to live off campus, although everything in S.D. is pretty expensive.
