hey i read about that fish in some book long ago about some guy exploring the Amazon!

it's true .. he had to make some coffee filter peeing device so the fish wouldn't follow the urine stream up into his penis...

I think at the time (70s maybe? don't remember) amputation was the only known way to deal with it

Yeah, I've heard of that before too. Wasn't it mentioned in a movie somewhere? Or maybe it was in a Graham Greene story. Where did you first hear about them?

Also, this is another organism that makes me doubt the Creation story as being the only possible origin of life. I really can't fathom a purpose for this creature in Paradise.
