Das Hunger Gamen

Or, The Hunger Games.

Today, we shall play the hunger games out, CC style. I will first need 24 competitors, representing the 12 districts of CC.

I don't really care that much, so you guys come up with categories and nominees.

From there, I'll slowly kill people off until 1 survives. They shall be deemed hungriest of all.

I'll probably pick phatscotty to win it all though, seeing as how someone slashing his convertible top can keep him up for weeks hoping they would come back, i figure being forced into a game for the entertainment of the rest of us would similarly bring out some deep-seated hatred and afterwards he'd go on a revenge hunt for the creators of the games schindlers list style

That's what schindler's list is about right? Never seen it...

In seriousness though, I just finished all 3 books. I actually grew a teenage vagina in the process. Pretty cool.

Saw the movie, it's pretty good, and if you don't like reading, then it's pretty exhilarating I'm sure, although a bit long at over 2 hours. If you've read it, you might be disappointed, as I was. Without giving too many spoilers, I just felt like they lengthened some things and shortened some things that I would have done the opposite way. And maybe because the first book has so much explanation, it comes through in the movie, and it's real annoying. Like there are parts when someone will say "oh, ___ is happening now" and the other person in the scene is like, "oh yeah, ___ is when [explanation]" and it's just incessant.

But I understand that's how it is in a series of good books, and likewise in a series of good movies. The first one is usually not as good as subsequent editions because it has to set everything up. The sequels are then able to move freely through the setting.

I will say that I liked the first book the most because of the plot within the book. I liked the overall arc of the series, but it seemed very rushed at times, and I think of the series as the Hunger Games because of the games, and they aren't as much of a central focus the rest of the way.
