NSFW, but possibly the greatest movie review you'll ever see.

Fair point, I should probably mention in the title that it's old, but good.

I watch their webseries, Half in the Bag. It's introduced me to such gems as "To Catch a Yeti".

Yeah that was great. Is this the one where he's got some girl locked in his basement? Or is that the other one

Now actually go to the red letter media website (just google "red letter media") and watch their other reviews. They do all three Star Wars prequels and a bunch of the Star Trek movies among others.

I remember watching phantom menace when it first came out, in a theater and all. At the time I was kind of like "meh, it looks cool and all" but it didn't really have any substance in it. It wasn't really that bad, it wasn't really good, it was just... kind of average. It didn't really leave me waiting for the next two parts, I just kind of quickly forgot about the whole movie as soon as I walked out of the theater.

So the next 2 parts I watched only relatively recently, when I was really bored, and they were both horrible. I kind of spaced out during both movies, like found myself doing other things because the movies were so boring and hard to follow. The story was just so full of holes and the dialogue was clunky, jumping all over the place...

I think the star wars prequels were ultimately just an attempt to cash in on the nostalgy and fan hype - they weren't made for new audiences, they were never meant to stand by themselves as stand-alone movies, rather they were aimed at people who already had nostalgic feelings from the original trilogy...

I don't understand how they have such advanced technology in the first three Star Wars and then in 4,5,6 the most advanced tech they have are walkers.

Maybe space creationists told them they should stop trusting scientifical research so their civilization started to deteriorate.

... A superior review, Sym, thanks.

... The Clone Wars (cartoon) is far better than the Eps I, II & III. Lucas should have skipped the films and just run the cartoons.

I was pretty young when Episode I came out, and am not ashamed to say that I enjoyed it. Due to conversations in RL and from what I've read in the internet, I've since come to realize that my original, positive impression of the film was misguided. And, while I've always loved the older trilogy, ever since I was young, I have since come to love it more and more as the years go on... despite having watched it many, many more times than the new trilogy. I'm not even sure I've seen Episode I in the past ten years; the review was an entertaining, hilarious look at all of the incoherent inconsistencies that I missed seeing as a child.

I'm glad people enjoyed it. Personally speaking, I like watching the review better than watching the movie.
