Ode to Natty Dread

natty dread, formerly known as natty_dread, has provided CC with a great many maps, gave plenty of useful advice for mapmakers, strict adhered to and maintained the law and order of the Foundry, and laid out some great arguments in the OT.

Ever since his voluntary unemployment from the Foundry, natty dread may have lost contact with the finer things in life--at least, in CC life, so I thought we should provide him some nice things here.


In this thread, we celebrate all that is natty dread. Only positive feedback is allowed.

Hmm... I am not super respected here on CC, nor am I widely read from the ignores. That is such as me.

Natty dread is a topic I like though. A topic, nah a person I have to be true to.
A person can be false for a myriad of reasons. A person can be fake when the masquerade passes by. I cannot be nothing but true when it comes to my favorite CC'er of all time (blitz your pathetic ass is second).

God I hate typing blocks of emotional text... I never read those of others so I will cater this to those of you of my ilk.

NAtty IS/Was? ONE HELLOVA GUY.

I read all of his posts in a forum that taught newbies how to use a particular software on a different site. He developed add=ons and helped idiots like me. I once wanted to make the end all of end all cc maps... it was about ants... lol. Natty supported me when most CC'ers spat on me. It was neither a bad idea nor a good one.. but noone sent me messages of support like natty though I didn't know him.

The guy is quality. He is from viking stock. I love him though ive never told him and only sent hate mails from disappointment in his posts.


The Natty I knew was killed by the bullshit foundry.. he sunk thousands of hours into a system that fucked him over... hey andy... and I cannot stay mad at him for that.

What is this thread about.... Bitterness, resentment... and the ability to leave the garbage bs bullcrap dung that cc is behind you.

Natty was a good man. He always kept it real. He made sure to ask the hard hitting questions, to the tune of "under your comment of ___, it sounds like it really just shows an underlying case of _____, do you want to hash that out?"

i hope natty's still around I quite enjoyed conversing with him

He's always fervently stuck up for what he believed and never backed down.
He always seemed to know what he was talking about and had evidence to back him up,

His maps are one of the coolest of this site, my favorite Lunar War was made by him and isaih40.
I hope natty recovers from whatever it is that's got him down

Verily, did Natty_Dread remindest me fondly of SultanofSurreal.

I don't find many posters annoying or frustrating to argue with, but he was one of them. Kudos to him. I will miss him dearly.
