Prager University: The 4 Big Bangs (Atheists Chime In!)

Did you ever wonder why anything gets anywhere? How potatoes from Idaho, for example, end up in a supermarket in NYC? Acclaimed economist, Walter Williams, explains why it all depends on one thing -- profit

The power of profit is the power of profit. But I guess if Breitbart ever shared it, that automatically disqualifies all the context from the source which is not Breitbart?

How Preposterous!

Profit drives just about everything and most people are out there
whoring at jobs they hate just to make a buck.

I find it telling that you think mentioning a source somehow disqualifies anything.

I was merely playing the hottest new OT forum game: Guess Where Scott got his Copypasta.

Well, you got the source wrong, but sure you can mention it.

I got it off youtube

Good thing they weren't too critical about the government. Might have lost future funding for mentioning other crucial aspects.

Again, same old story: something bad happens in the markets, politicians blame the market, so that people will be less likely to connect the dots to the politicians' previous legislation. People, who have strong faith in the government to fix things, tend to downplay (or even ignore) the negative aspects of government spending and monetary "stabilization" policies while drumming up the positives.

It's a silly game that will eventually come to a violent end.

Who takes the greater leap of faith -- the atheist or the believer? Best selling author and award-winning radio talk show host, Frank Pastore, poses this question in this compelling Prager University video course.

I know, right? But oddly, they do and they don't at various times.

It seems to work very well whenever a politician claims "I provided X amount of jobs, I improved the economy, I saved the economy from a depression, or my plan for the economy will blah blah blah."

How about education? "Oh well, the government must provide that! It just needs to be reformed!" (i.e. the government can fix things!).

Get ready for a fun election!

....like the president or any politician gets credit for a new small business owner who has been saving their money for the last 10 years and playing by the rules and getting organized and takes the risk and picked the right time in the right market based on education and tens of thousands of hours of research that created 100 jobs.

Way to go Mr President! +100! Do it again!
