Normally, I'd agree. But I'd have to make an exception for TMS. So, sure, I'd dock a few points for being an Americanized remake, but c'mon.
Other than that I can't really decide between the two. If forced, I'd probably say The Magnificent Seven mainly because I generally like westerns more than war/escape movies.
