FRENCH OPEN

An amazing exhibition of tennis between Nadal and Djokovic today.
Playing in the rain for an hour before play was suspended after the
third game of the fourth set.

muahahah

I have the match recorded, I'm gonna watch it later, I just read the first line and luckily I didn't learned the winner :D

As to why I entered the thread if I didn't want to know the result, well, go figure. I'm a complicated man. I cry sometimes too.

There's no result... yet. The match might not resume
until tomorrow and there's rain in that forecast too.

I was surprised to see both Djokavic and Nadal win the semis in straight sets. Not as much for Nadal, merely because he's arguably the greatest on clay of all-time, but it was impressive seeing Djokavic blow past Federer.

Also, glad Sharapova finished her career grand slam. She's been pretty irrelevant as of late.

Well she had 3 years of dealing with a debilitating shoulder problem. She had to build herself and her game back up to get into conetention to win these sorts of tournaments and now all that hard work is starting to bear fruit. She's a lot more confident and comfortable with her serve than she's been in years past. If she never got that shoulder injury I reckon she'd have won another 5/6 slams by now. Who knows. Just a pity that now she's back on top a lot of the other big names have retired or are over the hill.

Anyway, I though this French open was pretty dull. In the mens side the only good round was the quarterfinals. I'm excited about Wimbledon though. Nobody has dominated on the grass the past 3 years, any one of the top four can win it. We could see a strong run from Tsonga too. Could be an upset year, or *fingers crossed* a win for a certain Mr Murray.

On the womens side I'm hoping Sabine Lisicki has a strong tournament. Be a good match against Sharapova if both of them are performing at their best.

Well, she has won the 4 grand slams. And she looks beautiful in that black dress.

SO shut up. She has a right to earn money with her image.

Tennis? God damn.

The thread's title put me in mind of other things. Oh well.

I watched Sunday as Nadal started quick, before Djokavic came back
playing an hour in the rain... Nadal lost nearly a dozen consecutive games.
but missed Monday's coverage when they continued the match.
