Nano. I couldn't stand the shuffle...you can't choose a specific song if you want to listen to one and you can't see any song names, etc. Nano's much better.

An Ipod Touch isn't too expensive, especially if you get a refurbished one. I got one as a gift and have preferred it over the Nano mostly.

Yeah, but the clip part is really attractive for when I go biking or running. I could just use my Android, but it bounces around too much. Yeah, I think I was able to convince my dad into the Nano.

I said the SANSA CLIP!!!!

I've had both the nano and the touch and they died due to humidity, so good luck running with them, in fact, google it. The sansa clip has lasted long and I take it inside a reach in fridge at least once a week.

The nano died when I was running, the touch when I took it inside a reach in fridge.

I have a walkman which doubles as a memory stick, and it's lasted really well. Cheaper, too. It's kinda like this:

Anyway, I really hate the apple rubbish. I have lots of songs on my mp3 player. I can burn them straight from a disc onto it.
With the iWhatever, you have to install all the iTunes crap, then store all of your songs on the computer. I don't want all of those songs stored on my laptop, mostly because I don't want so much data slowing down the hardware, but for a few other petty reasons.

Also, I had a whole bunch of songs on my old iPod. I had them all synced with my old computer, which died on me. Now there's no point installing iTunes on my new computer because if I tried to sync my iPod with it all my songs would be deleted...or some similar bullshit.

Maybe buying an album on iTunes is cheaper than buying the disc. Or perhaps there's greater choice on iTunes, but I don't really care.

Sony Walkman. Cheapest option by 1/3 of the cost, and yet it's the same as the iPod in all aspects. I've had mine for 3 years and I'm without complaint.

WTF are you going to do with it? The NANO would be better if you're running or exercising because it will be less in your way.

I've had a shuffle (that I won from an online math site, somehow) that broke, two nanos that were stolen and currently have a touch.

I love the touch the most just because of it's ability to use wifi.

I had the same crap happen to me. That's the only thing I really dislike about iPods, otherwise they're nice.

That's a pretty serious issue to have with Apple. Sony doesn't do that. I've synced with half a dozen PCs with no problems.

I don't know why or what I do to avoid it, but I never have to sync my iPods. I literally can just drag and drop any song from any computer to every single one of the iPod's I've owned.

Weird, I could never get mine to work like that. I had to use iTunes. Eh, whatever, I ended up pawning that thing for cigarette money like a year ago.

Well I mean I had to use iTunes too, but as long as that it was on the computer, I could put songs from my computer onto my iPods.

Ah. I still don't remember being able to do that. Maybe I could, just never tried. I dunno.

I'll probably get another one eventually, I can test it out when I do.

NFI how you pulled that off without knowing what you did AoG.

Apple products are designed explicitly to not have drag and drop functionality.
