you could even try hosting it as a torrent.

i've never done it before but it doesn't seem all that complicated: http://www.sidewalkcrusaders.com/bthowto/btstart.html

Thing with torrents is, it's a peer-to-peer system, meaning that if you want to send the files to one person, you have to be seeding the files at the same time the other person wants to download them. This is because you'd be the only one who has the files, they won't be cached anywhere, or hosted on any server. So it'll work if you can install the torrent client on the computer you have the files on, and keep the client running until everyone has downloaded them. (Or at least, until the first person downloads them, provided this person then keeps seeding the files to the others).

Torrent is very handy, but you'd have to be able to set up the client, and also the recipients would also have to be able to set the clients up on their side. But if they are computer-literate people it's not too hard.

On the other hand if you only need to share the files with one person, then torrenting is needlessly complicated for the task - in my opinion the best way to share files between only 2 people would be DCC transfer over IRC, but again it requires some know-how and both sender and receiver setting up IRC clients, etc.
