What are the main problems with the alleged population crisis?

If no one died (or no one died until the age of 6,000) where would we put all the people?

Oh, easy. Into storage units. I'd recommend Safe Guard Storage. Next question.

I disagree. The pre-immortality fallout shelters would be much better

There's also the idea that eventually, as we don't gene shuffle and diversify our genome, that more and more concentrations of viruses will be able to eventually get around our herd immunity since over long periods of time, there's bound to be one that could just floor us.

Though, if we have the technology to reverse ageing, we might be able to make ourselves invincible against such threats by that time.

We don't have to worry about over-population in the far future. Nope, we'll all eventually go through our final evolution and will become 100% machines.

First our limbs and organs will become mechanized, then we'll start the process of slowly turning the brain [by adding minature chips] into a computer. Once the brain and the body is eliminated of any live tissues, we can become as tiny as ants if necessary or larger than a Goodyear Blimp.

Yes we'll become immortal and we'll disperse our new and improved beings throughout the Universe.

End of story and the end of humans as we know it.

This sounds awesome. I want to be the size and shape of a 200ft tall polar bear.

Or, once we develop technology to keep brains in jars, we can just stack 'em high.

Unfortunately that reality would probably suck.

Maybe. But who wouldn't want to eat chow from a sack? We may not get President Chow, but it'd still be pretty good!
